I’m actually surprised they’re letting people out on the beaches down under. Seemed to me they were pretty keen on locking the entire country down until there were no traces of the virus left there.

At the rate they’re going I assume they’ll open the country back up somewhere around 2040/50.

NSW is pretty much fully opened up with much of the country to follow. We were not locked in our homes and at least where I am (Newcastle) we had relatively good freedom of movement which yes, was watched over if we were stupid but generally was ok.

I was able to work from home and get out - but I could not travel to Shitney region etc.

That all said, many areas had little lockdown as they had done well to avoid the issues of the larger areas but sure, near all had small periods.

Mind you, given our relatively small death rate to me, lockdown was well worth it and while it caused inconvenience, throughout all of this I only know of 1 person that was infected.

Again, in terms of beaches we have been able to hit them for a while, plus exercise, plus get out etc but we could not freely attend large functions etc .
