God we are so pissed off with this weather. We have not got to the beach for over a week !! Really feel sorry for those who on holiday at the moment. Having got rid of the rain it's now high winds, UGH.
OK, now that we have had a rant, we guess that summer will arrive sooner or later. It does seam to every year.

Not just the beach, the whole place seems quiet. Only for the spate of French bank holidays lately I think it would have been even worse! Whether you can believe it or not, word is that as of now bookings for the busy months are well down.

YES we can believe bookings are down for the peak months. Prices for half decent Apartments in Cap d,Agde at this time, are getting very expensive, We could book a five star hotel for 2 weeks all inclusive In the Canaries, for much less than it is costing us for our holiday here this year.
How much longer we will continue to pay these rates. remains doubtful.

Well, the problem is the costs have always been high in France. And then they increased the taxes a lot the past few years, plus the real estate prices haven't done down at all. So the prices have stayed about the same (during the peak season, Eden was at 350/night in 2009, is still at 350/night in 2013), but businesses obviously make less profit.

Meanwhile, in Spain, salaries and real estate have gone way down. So prices can be a lot more attractive.

Thanks for the update, Sorry to hear this for all in Cap d Agde at the moment. It will get better very soon, Usually JUNE is a good month, But there is a lot of unsettled weather around Europe.
Is there anything new happening for this year.?

Even if it was still a bit coldish, the week was very decent. Not the weekend though.

Midweek in June is not the best time for us to meet people, we knew that before going ;) We saw one cute couple though, but they didn't feel like staying by the pool.

Since summer is (unexpectedly) here, there will be a first Mousse Party on Saturday 15. It sounds a bit unlikely it will be warm enough though, but who knows it's really warm outside right now.

There will be lots of people in August, don't worry.

So this first mousse was nice and fun, and the weather was warm enough, but not nearly enough people in the mousse. They reorganised a little bit the place, for the better IMO. Even more fun next time probably :)
