Later in the summer went back to some favorite resorts in Austria which are also great. The expensive alpine resort is my game vs the large day spas. Massages and spa services are always top notch and I find I relax much more in a less crowded and higher quality environment. Highlight was a wealthy young german couple on their honeymoon (met them on their second night together as a married couple). Met them at the bar the night before. Had a great chat, wondered if I'd see them in the spa. Next morning the new wife arrived earlier than her husband to the spa. Three days in a row at Z in Ams; Fri, Sat and Sun.
Booked to stay in the hotel on campus, it is not really worth it for what you get, but it is the easy access if you plan to stay in the spa for the whole day.

Just came back from a Europe trip and spent some time at saunas.

First stop was Prague. I didn’t even realize they had saunas until a few days into my trip. My first stop was S@un@ Spot. Separate changing rooms. Decent quality of girls. On Sunday I ended up staying the whole day so I got to experience morning and evening. I'd say on a weekend there's not a big difference between morning and evening. In the morning you might get a few more older people but there's still a lot of younger folks. The morning is great on a nice day because there will be people tanning nude on the chairs outside. It can get a bit chilly in the evenings.

Where are the main aufguss ceremonies now held?

The Kristall Arena is still under construction. There were very nice 2×15min sessions there. Weekends from 13-21.

Since this thread is supposed to be about experiences rather than travel tips, here's one.

Some of the municipal swimming pools around here also have sauna facilities. Most of them are pretty basic, but one place was renovated not so long ago and the sauna area is now quite nice - not up there with some of the luxury spas described here, but a great reasonably priced "local". Anyway, there I was in the steam room. It has two benches facing each other. Each bench seats allows about four people to sit while keeping a respectful distance from each other. The bench opposite me was full. I was sitting all the way to one end of my bench, and at the opposite end were two guys.

That will cut your cost down to 34€ per person for a full day incl. transport. BTW the K also has a sports pool you can use without further costs. So you can have your workout too. So you might leave your cold winter and enjoy some warm and cozy time in the nude.
