This is from 1970's "The Owl and the Pussycat" starring Streisand and the venerable George Segal. For some reason, I never found Streisand particularly appealing, even in her younger years. Perhaps too much of a Diva. Notice in these images the standard trick of wearing panties over hose...the idea being that you're not really seeing anything illicit because the real underwear is still hidden. A psychological ploy/prop for the actor perhaps, because generally for the viewer, perception is reality. |

Acting wise, she's pretty one dimensional...she has a certain range that she's most effective at-- the high strung, slightly manic personality with the rapid patter and carefully scripted one liners. In this, she reminds me a little of Sandra Bullock, who is another one dimensional actor with limited range. My take anyway. |
