It's generally advised to reserve as soon as possible, especially if you expect to be able to ask for any preference regarding the localization of the spot you reserve...

But these days, since the weather is so poor in France (one of the coldest July month ever recorded...), it's probably half-empty, or even less than that...

... on your advice tried booking via the internet, but credit card information was asked for before getting the chance to chose a spot ....

... so we'll take a chance.
