Look. the picture is from the mandalay bay looking toward the airport. there is a main road between the Excaliber and the Luxor. The bright lights to the right of the picture are from rhe airport. There are no other hotels like you are asking for because we are looking sideways at the strip not down the strip.

On top of the buildings not being spaced correctly, it should be noted that the lights on the Luxor are not like those of the picture on the right. As anyone who has been to Las Vegas can attest, the Luxor has a giant white spotlight that shoots straight up. It has a visible beam of light going towards the sky. Luxor doesn't have the lighted band of white lights 1/3 of the way down, and doesn't have green/red lights on it's edges.

Also, the Excalibur doesn't have blue lights on the top spanning each tower. It only has blue lights on the corners of the towers, so that building in the background can't be Excalibur.

Google maps - there is no angle I can see from anywhere on the Mandalay Bay property where the view would encompass the entire Luxor pyramid as in that photo and not be looking down the strip. Now looking at the same Google maps there is nothing big to the west of the Luxor so it "might" be possible to get a view like that from a higher floor on a building east of it, that would also include the mountains in the background. Using street view I can't duplicate the view because it is just too low of an angle but I can come close enough that I can't rule it out.

Edit.. I didn't find any evidence of that lighting scheme either, was just trying to see if it was even physically possible to get that view. It hasn't been lit like that anytime I've been in Vegas that I can remember.

It's possible it's the Pyramid Arena in Memphis, Tennessee.
My guess would be that this was taken in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
They're working with several of those in the city, with at least one already built.

Also, Dubai is in the news a lot as a city in a VERY conservative area that is the
exception, a sort-of oasis of business, entertainment, and generally interesting stuff.
Naturally, some Arab countries with no attractions, aging industries, and no fun
disapprove.

It's not Memphis, as Memphis does not have mountains like that in the background. It's not Las Vegas, as I have a Vegas thread with 1,118 posts. I think I have a pretty good idea as to what the area around the Luxor looks like, and it doesn't look like that!

The guess of Dubai is pretty good, let's keep going with places like that, knowing that we can eliminate Memphis and Las Vegas.

While I appreciate the help, have any of you been in Las Vegas? Have you gone through my Vegas thread at all? Since when is there a building between Luxor and Excalibur? Why are the Luxor and Mandalay Bay so far apart? Where are all of the other hotels that are jam-packed onto Las Vegas Blvd.?

I have included a KNOWN Vegas pic to show the spacing. From Left to right (South to North): Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, NYNY, Tropicana, and MGM Grand. See how the pic in question would not fit into Las Vegas.

That photo gives spacial disorientation

That picture was from the Mix Bar at the top of The Hotel which is attached to Mandalay Bay.
I was there this weekend for Halloween and I have a picture taken from the same overlook and it looks exactly the same

Shok, still waiting for your proof pic, but here's others that show the scene you are describing, that were actually taken in Las Vegas.
I really do appreciate the attempts to help, I'm just trying to get the focus away from Vegas and towards the actual location!

I'm not going to post personal photos if friends here but you get an idea from this picture.
It's a professional zoomed in pic.

What gives the original away is the waste high half window.
That runs across the entire balcony of Mix

You can see the glass in the photo I posted

You can also see that the locations of the pyramids aren't the same, and many Las Vegas hotels are missing in the mystery nude pic. Where's MGM and NYNY? Why isn't the red and blue lighted building, which you are assuming is the Excalibur, right next to the Pyramid building, what you are assuming is the Luxor? It's not Las Vegas.

Anyone recognize the location of this pic? It's not Las Vegas or Memphis. Maybe it's in Egypt, but I don't know if they light up their Pyramids.

Like I said, it was not taken in Las Vegas. Thanks to Slate787, who showed that it was a Imax theater in Israel.

I'm a little late to the show, but I just discovered this website. My wife and I do a lot of NIP pics in interesting locations. That's her in the haunted house picture. It was taken in Clamtown, Pa. An interesting name itself. Here is one taken just before we found the Haunted House....
