I think it's better to focus on the quality of the nudity, rather than the quantity. Think about what you'll be seeing: A gorgeous actress, standing at the front of the stage, all alone, in the spotlight, totally nude, for a significant amount of time. And apparently singing while she does it, too. That's pretty fucking incredible. And that's in addition to all of the other cute naked girls in the show. I really hope you two manage to pull off recording this.

Sometimes the best theatrical nudity is when you really aren’t expecting it. I hadn’t previously considered the works of Henrik Ibsen as likely to feature nudity (with the possible exception of Peer Gynt which is totally bonkers). So when I went along to see ‘Little Eyolf’ at the Almeida Theatre in London I was pleasantly surprised that the delightful Lydia Leonard gave us a very good look at her boobs. There was maybe a tiny hint of bush although I think the latter was likely to be by accident rather than a deliberate act. Well worth a visit but you do need to be the in the left hand side (facing the stage) of the theatre to get the best effect. These are the low numbered seats. I was near the front at the far left and probably had the best view. If you are the other side I think at best you are going to get a side boob view. The play runs until the 9 Jan. In my experience of the Almeida there are often tickets available on the web site on the day of the performance that were previously showing as sold.

London’s Vault festival is coming soon and the line-up is going to be released on 4 January. The Alchemist Theatre Company who are the folks behind the much admired ‘Liberation’ have tweeted that they may be there. No details yet but even if they aren’t there is usually someone putting on a show with an element of nudity (even if it’s not obvious from the description).

Also Ursula Martinez is bringing her show ‘Free Admission’ to the Soho Theatre in February. I saw a preview of this last Sumer at the Purcell Rooms in London. I’m assuming that most of you will be familiar with Miss Martinez from the Naked Magician clip but this is much more of a theatrical piece. However, at the end she does get naked and in the version I saw then ran out the theatre, still naked, and onto the South Bank outside. This was filmed by her stage manager and beamed back live to a screen in the Theatre.

I want to endorse the recommendation of Little Eyolf at The Almeida. Lydia Leonard does indeed strip fully nude - not just topless - and the seat suggestion turned out ideal.

I see Mrs Henderson Presents is starting in the west end this year, thinking of going with the missus.

The set is stark - pale white brushed planking - and the costumes match the palette. Lydia plays Rita, increasingly unhappily married to Alfred since the birth of their son, Eyolf. During a distracting bout of love-making baby Eyolf seriously (and permanently) injured his leg and is now destined for life with a crutch. Alfred returns from a sabbatical in the mountains trying to work on his book, only to announce he has determined to cast it aside in favour of spending more fatherly time with Little Eyolf, but apparently no more than the minimum with this wife...

While sitting back on a chaise longue she opens her (white, naturally) dressing gown and drops it from her shoulders, revealing she is nude beneath. She's slim, with around B cup breasts and round nipples. Her bush matches her dark hair, and is trimmed into a (somewhat non-authentic nineteenth century) landing strip. The show is mostly autographical and quite personal. Ursula tells us stories about growing up in London, her relationship with her family (something she has touched on in previous shows) and also her relationship with her partner. All the while when she is doing this she builds a wall in front until she is no longer visible. Shortly after completing the wall she steps out from in front of it naked and the wall becomes a projector screen. This is effectively the curtain call so she was on stage, full frontal, for a minute or two but then we viewed her on the screen, walking out the backstage area and exiting the theatre via steps at the back onto the South Bank which is a major tourist area of London. She then ran out of shot waving to passers by. There was a great ‘double take’ from one lady in particular who clearly wasn’t expecting to see a naked performance artist run by. To be honest I’m not entirely sure why the nudity was in the show. She did mention that she wasn’t as comfortable getting naked as she got older but to be honest the nudity, while fun, did seem slightly tacked on.

I managed to find photos from a preview of this as well as a promo image. Wish there was video!

Since she's naked during the "curtain call", would the audience be allowed or able to take photos? Does she come back in afterwards to take photos? The new run of the show will be at a different theater -- I would imagine if you knew where she'd exit the theater, you'd be able to get a photo of her when she's outside. Any ideas?
