thats a really cool set. You know why? Because its more voyeurish than the usual tribal nudes who just walk around exposed all the time. I mean, they are down their washing up and getting naked out of necessity. Fully nude and hot too. The below average pic quality just adds to the voyeur "mystique".

One of a series, apparently; here, in addition to another photo, are shots of backs/fronts of several DVD cases. Perhaps the wackiest part of the enterprise is that, like the folks at Fuck For Forest, it's done in the name of charity, with at least some portion of proceeds supporting the tribes portrayed...

Something interesting about the Dinka tribe (Sudan):

They have a very specific tradition : when a girl becomes old enough to get married, she wears some pearl rows (and it's the only thing she can wear !), the color of the beads indicating the dowry expectations of the girl's father, expressed in cattle count (I don't know the exact code, but it's something like : a cow for each blue row, a goat for each red row, a chicken for each yellow row... you see what I mean. A kind of human-sized resistor...)

Dinka men also wear similar pearls, but made into corsets (since in the Dinka tradition, a man has to be lean, while a woman has greater value if the is fat...), but for them the code indicates their age. Men in their twenties wear red pearls, men in their thirties wear yellow pearls, and so on.

Wikimedia Commons, which hosts pictures covered by the Creative Commons license, has a lot of pictures falling into this category. A while back a museum uploaded a bunch of old pictures from Dutch Indonesia, from when a lot of the women on Indonesia's more distant islands went topless. Someone was kind enough to group a bunch of the topless photos into an album. This is my first post so I can't post a URL, but find Wikimedia Commons with Bing/Google/Yahoo and type "Category:Female toplessness in Indonesia" into its search field.

These pictures are so great. I think it would be amazing to live among these different cultures for a month or so and see and learn about there way of life and take part in there traditions.

Especially the ones involving routine female toplessness! :cool:
