One Click Chicks Forum - Crowd Surfing

Every so often I google Sputterwall and Crazy Crowd Surfers, and today I found this thread. Interesting to see the vids being discussed. And no I'm not Kitt5000, though I have seen some of his work as well.

The reason I ended up killing the site was because I was getting paranoid about getting sued by either one of the girls (I did not even think of trying to get releases), or one of the bands or their people, or the good folks who used to do Music Midtown. Not only that, but the last 2 years of MM pretty much sucked, and I hardly got anything worthwhile.

Its true my stuff didn't show much in the way of nudity, though I made sure to include all the flashers, at least. I really felt (and still feel) that it is fun to watch these girls dancing over the top of the crowd. Its a unique kind of thing, and you hardly ever see it unless you are AT one of these shows. I decided it needed documenting before it is all gone due to insurance risks. I could hardly believe the promoters allowed crowd surfing over an asphalt parking lot.

I still have all the tapes and the camera that I shot most of the stuff with. And I still have master folders for 5 DVDs, but its been a while since I burned any. As for the clip being discussed in this thread, I also wished for some kind of ending, but after I lost her that time, I didn't see her again. In the movie, there is another clip a short while after that girl went down where another girl gets her pants tugged at and wants no part of it. She obviously didn't know that the crowd had been heated up.

I'll start poking around my old posting archives. I'm pretty sure I put together a clip of all flashers, and if I find that I'll try to post it if I can. As for the DVDs, I originally wanted them to become rare collectors items, which they are now. I am a bit torn about posting them whole anywhere, though I have run across a rip of my first movie. That was the only one I had mastered, and I still have a boxfull of those. But I have no interest in being a target, so I'll probably just let the whole thing remain a footnote to some other historical footnote.

I am glad for the folks who have gotten enjoyment from my efforts. And I only made a little money, but expensed 2 cameras, a new PC for editing, and of course all the expenses for attending the shows. It was a blast while it lasted, but I am also getting too old to deal with all the shit around that whole thing. Kinda glad its over.
