Update: To avoid people stealing my content and passing it as their own I have decided to resize and watermark my images moving forward. The good news is, I will share quite a bit of content I have been holding onto for sometime.

Not too far. Maybe 20 feet or so. I'll try to pay attention next time I shoot to the distances I am. A lot of times, I am shockingly close.
Any suggestions on a good watermarking tool. Currently trying a few out.

Using Lightroom, I can easily add any variety of effects, sizes and placements from choices of presets you build in a minute or two foe text or graphic watermarks automatically as you load the pictures from the camera card or cellphone. That's what I use.

I'm impressed that shooting from a 20 foot distance doesn't cause a fuss.

I never watermarked my original photos, the images were just a point in time I could share. Nobody gave me permission to take the photo, so I preferred that they remain open to everyone and less traceable when they get shared around the Internet.

Anyone could see these ladies on the public beach, but only a few had the chance to actually get there, I just helped transport them there 😁

That’s kinda how I feel. Plus it’s a pain in the ass to watermark and resize etc. I have enough trouble organizing the terabytes Of original content I’ve shot over the last 8-9 years.

I just don’t want commercial sites profiting off my work. If someone is going to profit from my labors I’d prefer it be me haha.
