wow - this is new to me. Posted back in 2011 were these pics showing some ladies from a local manhattan strip club shoveling snow for promotional purposes. Cool!

here are a few more pics of this - apparently the police did not like what was going on and broke it up. Klondike

OK, next up is a pic taken in in times Square in 1995 by a Flickr photographer who has graciously uploaded it for us all to see. He claims it was a publicity stunt, but doesn't really know. Klondike

I like starting threads like this because I never know where they are going to take me. And this one has taken me here, to the Deitch Art Parade. Scarcely mentioned before at OCC, it was brought up casually by Crispus once in response to some pics posted by Osreb. Those pics were of some bikers in "naked suits" - see the first three pics below. So I knew about that, but not about the parade in general. Well the Deitch art parade has been held in the Soho section of NYC since 2005 now, and if you search google or flickr, you will find more nudity. For example, one year the dazzle dancers participated. And in other years, more occasional nudity has been thrown in. I like it. We don't quite have full nudity here, but almost. So here you have it - a unique NYC tradition, only six years old now - the Deitch Art Parade..

I think this may have gotten a few more mentions at OCC, maybe under the name Soho parade, or Soho art parade. Anyway, more pics which I may have downloaded from here.

EDIT: yes, some call it the Deitch art parade, some the Soho art parade. In any case, they are one and the same.

Klondike, I'm sure you're already aware of this, but I'll mention it for the benefit of the other members. The fully nude dancers are part of a group called The Dazzle Dancers, a sex-positive performance group that shows up at Pride parades and the like. Entering them into the search box will yield pics in multiple other places through out OCC.

Fango's link bears looking at again. I did. The NYC artist responsible for this event, called "Ocularpation wall street" is named Zeffrey Throwell. What I just discovered is that this is the same guy that organized the NYC strip poker game.
A few pics from each event (mostly reposts) are shown below. KLondike

check Fango's link posted earlier in this thread, or search the keywords for that event (see earlier posts).

Anyway, these pics below also appeared at OCC at some point, but I don't know where they are now. They are from an exhibit by Brian Reed called "Chair and the Maiden Gallery" which went up a few years ago in greenwich Village.
As usual, it was surrounded by some controversy.
