anyone know of any shows coming to Edinburgh this year which have proper full frontal nudity, like Trilogy did? Judging by critics reaction and reviews this is only for people with a strong stomach. Evidently the sexual torture and bloodshed is very graphic. One comment that was made was that it was a 5star rating for the acting but a 2 star for the production as it was very explicit in it's portrayal.. Many people call it art but why is sex so often related with violence in productions like this?

Good point, but I think in the UK, mainstream/art theatres have 16+ as the max rating. I wonder if there is a strip club/porn stigma of saying 18+ ?

I relented about attending Cleansed and being in the circle looked away at a blank wall during the extremely strong and largely male on male violence (though obviously could hear the screaming). A few people only walked out. Any part of the central area of the circle should be fine to sit. The sides of the circle are 100% side on and though people weren't particularly leaning forward there may be issues with the view. The stalls will be mentioned later.

Most of the nudity is from Chanda and photos online show her as very attractive. However, & presumably for this production, she has put on quite a lot of weight. The first nudity is where she swaps clothes. She quickly strips fully naked on one side of the stage, walks across the stage, turns round and quickly puts the other clothes on. So the full nudity can be seen both sides of the theatre but is brief. She is topless for longer before she is fully clothed again.

The next nudity scene is a 'sex' scene between her and her late brother. For this both are behind a partition wall which has very large windows. She strips fully naked and the brother kisses a breast briefly (or appears to). She stands at the back fully naked looking towards the stage and him away to the side facing the other way when they have 'sex' which lasts maybe 30 seconds and involves her standing in the same place moving about a bit (that is, away from the other actor). Being in the circle full nudity (full bush) from Chanda was clear through this scene and both this and the previous scene were in good lighting. It does seem possible however that those in the stalls couldn't see the full nudity in this scene due to the partition wall. They will have seen the topless part of the nudity but maybe not the bottom part. Not having been in the stalls it isn't possible to advise either way about that but there is the warning.

The third nudity from Chanda is brief & more limited with her showing lower front & rear nudity whilst climbing over the partition wall and going onto a bed. She is more clothed than nude for this.

Connolly is in underwear as a dancer (so not overweight) but there is dark red lighting for these scenes. Towards the end she comes out of the dance booth (which doubles up as behind the partition wall for the other scenes). For this scene please note the lighting is a fair bit darker. She goes to the front of the stage and takes her top off showing relatively small breasts whilst in close contact with the male character. They proceed to have sex and he appears to kiss a breast. For this scene they are very close together so not much is seen and despite some of the language used she keeps her underpants on throughout. When finished she gets up topless and moves back to the rear of the stage. She either then leaves or it goes dark & she leaves; I don't quite recall.

Elsewhere someone has said those sitting in the front row of the stalls would be splattered with 'blood' so be warned about that also!

Thanks for the review, I also managed to see this over the weekend looks like we could have been at the same performance. I had seen a recording of the National Theatre's version of this so kind of knew what to expect, not sure if I've got a strong stomach but the violence seemed quite tame compared in this production.

The nudity has been reviewed already above and is accurate, in the third scene Grace strips she's totally naked for about 20 seconds moving from the middle of the stage to the left hand side as you look at it, then turns round to face the other way to put on underwear and jogging bottoms, when she puts her top on she keeps it on her head so she's still topless and then has a sort of melt down for about 40 seconds before she covers up.

The second nude scene is with Grace and her brother, this ones weird as they do a dance then strip each other, Grace again is facing the left hand side of the stage while this is happening before moving to the back of the hallway behind the partition facing the audience, I had the same thought at the time that the people in the stalls would not have seen the full frontal only the ones in the circle as the partition was over waist height.

Grace then get's ****d by some imaginary guards where she bangs herself against a wall until she pulls down her joggers behind the partition and simulates sex, she then climbs over the partition onto the hospital bed that's been there for the whole show still with her joggers round her ankles and with her back to the audience so you have a clear view of her backside, then as the scene progresses she turns round but with her legs bent so you can see her bush but nothing else, the scene finishes with Women the erotic dancer starting her show the lights go down on the rest of the stage and Grace pulls her joggers back up in the dark.

There is a scene where Tinker asks Women to spread her legs and play with herself but this was done facing the audience with her hand down her knickers but nothing was seen.

The final nude scene Women leaves her booth for the first time to be with Tinker, this takes place at the front of the stage to the left as you look at it with Tinker sitting facing the right side and Women siting on his lap facing the left, she removes her top Tinker had already stripped partially and then they start making love, all of this is done in the same position so if you sit on the right hand side of the audience I'm guessing you'd only see her back untill they finish and she gets off and turns round for a split second to face the right side of the stage then she walks to the back of the stage along the left hand side turns to the right and climbs onto the bed so she can get through the window and leaves the stage rear left still topless.

Comparing this production to the National Theatre there was defiantly less nudity in this one, the National Theatre had 4 male and both female actors fully nude, as for this one I was surprised that the actors protected from the nude scenes were all the men which with my experience of London this year is unheard of, Grace was the only one that stayed true to the script with full nudity, maybe having a female director helped.

As for seating I was also in the circle row A at the left of the centre block, this had good views of all the nudity especially the scene with Women as she was right below, I think the end blocks would struggle when the actors are close to the side doors on their side of the stage but would see everything else.

there’s a wealth of naked stage comedy this month at edinburgh. australian comic paul sav/age is doing two shows every single day of august with different lineups. there’s a standup show and a variety show. guaranteed nudity on both, although it’s a gamble on whether it’s someone you’d want to see, since the lineups are different night to night. but with the sheer volume of nude stage time and the number of comedians who are all in town for the fringe, there’s bound to be plenty worth seeing. very interested in hearing reports from anyone who goes.

any of these have clear prolonged full frontal hot slim female nudity with good lighting? I would make a trip for that, but not into any dark, brief flashing, unattractive women.

Evita Too is performing, a preview version of which is mentioned in this thread. Whilst I would go again if in Edinburgh anyway & also not seeing another show, I wouldn't spend hours of travelling for it. I've no idea about where they're performing or good seats other than close to the front (where audience interaction happens).

Saw a couple of shpws with amazing nudity at Edinburgh fringe last night.

First was a one woman play 116 grams; Aplay to lose weight whete the acress is completely nude for virtually the entire show. You get amazing close ups as she is literally a few feet from aiduiencefor large parts.

The second show was the Big Naked variety show which featured three ladiescomp,etely stwrkets all wiyh really nicw bodirs.
The fitst performer was an absolutely stunning girl who lookec like a model but was an acrobat and was on stage with large hula hoop. She had an amazing body and a gorgeous smile.

The second naked female performer was an Australian comedienne who has a nicebody with a really prachy bum and lovely bush with nice pert tits. She was on stage for wbout 10 mins. What made it bettrr in hindsight is she is relatively famous 8n Australia but not as acomedienne,

The f8nal performer was a sexy dark haired contorsonist who managed to get hrr lithe and athletic body in some amazingg positions. She had a really nice body with lush dwrk bush and a peach of an arse.

The entire show was under amazing lighting so everything clrwrly on dieplay. The good news is while the comedians change every night , the acrobwt and contoronist are apparently going to be performing at every show, so no matter what night you go you areguaranteed some gorgeous nudity.

Greetings gents. I have been to several shows of this years Edinburgh Fringe, and I think some of them may spark the interests of the users of this thread.

1. the big naked comedy show

the night I saw this show there were three ppl performing and, luckily, two of them are females. the first lady is sof/ia m/ay and was about her time at a buddist cult in colorado. she has great tits but she has quite a big bush so u can't really see anything down there. actually she even makes a joke about she and the cult leader breading each other's bush(sorry i diverged). the second lady is the aforementioned athe/na pe/pe. she really has huge cans for a girl that slim. and u get to see the crack of her vagina.

2. trainspotting

I really encourge u guys to show up and support this show.

Very fun show. Absurdist ironic musical with a message. FFs while rollerskating to open the show as a gag, then briefly later as another gag.

Baby Everything – one woman show, topless (twice) with patches over nipples involving audience participation. Smart well-written satire with lots of laughs. Good comic performance from the actress, too.

Puttana - single performer, but in spite of nudity warning only stripped down to see-through ish black bodysuit. Very athletic and attractive. Excellent immersive show which used headphones to create a soundscape for the story, altering the actresses voice when she was playing a male character, for instance, and adding extra audio. Extremely intense and confronting, though.

Good Enough? – by same company who did Mass Effect. Three dancers, two male, one female (strong dancer’s body). Extended full nudity for ten-fifteen minutes. If all you’re there for is the skin, or you don’t go for “arty” performance, you might not like it, but I thought it was a really very moving and sweet show about dancers’ careers, friendships, and life in general. Very good show.

Operotica: Lovers in Every Lifetime – again, no actual nudity in spite of warning, but sexy outfits, thongs, see-through to nipple patches. Camp, very funny Burlesque type show.

As already described, the Big Naked Comedy Show is a total gamble, but you might hit gold as I did: the male host, a male singer songwriter, and then three female comedians, two of whom had never performed naked before: an extremely cute, very attractive, slim, quite busty nerdy 30s Aussie who performs science-based stand up. She discussed premature greying and not dyeing her head hair, but how pubes don’t match – which she could show us – as well as her science material. In spite of this being her first naked performance seemed only a little bit frazzled by that (though, ran off swiftly at the end of her set). Then a 20s Korean comedian, again very slim. Much more nervy, but not in a bad way. Discussed how she debated whether to totally shave her bush or not, but had left it sort of half way. Seemed very energised to be doing this taboo thing, especially given more strict society in Korea. Lastly, an American Asian comedian in her 40s who had done the show before. More curvy. Talked about the effects of childbirth on her body. The venue is called the Big Yurt, but it’s actually tiny and very very intimate. Fully lit and you’re extremely close to the performers, which adds to the intensity of the show, but its got a fun, naive, silly atmosphere rather than being sexy at all. If you go, do be cool not creepy. You’ll have loads of fun that way and the show can continue.

I’d noticed RR beforehand, waiting, because she’s very striking, pretty with a strong jaw-line and her undyed silver hair, but thought she was just part of the audience. However, then she was joined by MK and IL and I overheard them talking with a member of staff, so realised they were performing (the host was late to arrive) and that was quite an exciting moment of anticipation.

KK is slim, and quite toned, with the body of a swimmer or an athlete. Narrow hips, wider shoulders. She’s pale which works with her grey/ silver hair. Her breasts are rather full, C cup I’d say, and natural, with a mole on the left. She had a very neat small dart of nut-brown pubes, but you could only see the suggestion of her lips. Just glimpsed her ass as she quickly left, but again looked nicely toned and small.

MK is also slim, really petite, and looked like she worked out as well, but naturally a bit curvier around the hips and ass. Small apple-sized breasts, olive nipples. As I mentioned she discussed trying to decide whether to go fully shaved or not, but had a general light peach fuzz covering though this still left her labia clearly exposed.

KK was barefoot, MK wore heels. KK seemed pretty relaxed, MK much more giggly, nervous energy, and was sweating a little. She had her hair pinned up, but late in the set, possibly unconsciously, let it down and this garnered a big reaction from the crowd which she was surprised by, but enjoyed. She seemed a bit overwhelmed by the experience, but in a good way, and talked with audience members outside afterwards.

IL was, I think, the oldest comedian – in her 40s - and, as mentioned earlier, has a more curvy, womanly body. Less my taste, personally, but she’d *very* much be for others, and I don’t like to judge. Wider hips and ass, bit of a curved belly which covered her crotch more, revealing only a tuft of dark pubes. Attractive, pendulous breasts which she discussed in the set, saying she used to have amazing tits (her description), which had changed with motherhood and that was a shame, but it was the price for having a family and children she loved. Life is change and sacrifice etc. She seemed the most laidback about performing naked, and I got the impression had done it before (possibly a few times).

As I said earlier, the energy in the room was supportive and fun and a bit taboo, but weirdly wholesome. I believe the host (google him), puts these shows on in other countries at other festivals as well. The line up is more of an ad hoc thing, not advertised beforehand, so it’ll always be a crapshoot if you only care about seeing the nudity you prefer, but can recommend the show as a fun experience either way (though, I think there will always be a fair gender balance). Please be cool if you go along (though, feel free to report back).
