To answer a few of your questions.

- so the tunnel connects multiple hotels to the swim and sauna center that is across the street. This is a public facility, but our hotel gets direct access (access is included with booking) to the locker rooms via our bracelets. Its about a 4 min walked from your room to the sauna.

- after scanning your bracelet, you immediately enter the changing room. I'm from Belgium and in our pools, everybody uses an individual locker room to change. But at this complex, some people where changing under their towels in the hallway, I saw a girl in string lingerie dry her hair at the side of the changing room. I was surprised how exposed some people where compared to Belgian pools.

- it was hard to see in the dark, but I guess 90% was fully shaved. My girlfriend also shaved after a couple of days so on some days she had a little bit of hair but nothing noticeable.

Went to the sauna with my wife last friday (Belgian one)

Continuing the story of our first euro sauna trip, at SD in A.

After the initial mixed shower we wandered around sussing out the saunas and picking one to get started. We tried the hotter sauna first, there were a couple dudes in there already. Ok, here’s another one. Again I was in the USAF stationed in Germany but this time in the 90’s. And, there was a hotel not far from my apartment that had a small sauna area and pool that I liked to go to. It wasn’t ever crowded but almost always a few Germans in there. Anyway, there was an American airman that I met just a few times when I arrived on base but I only ever saw her in uniform so it was hard to tell what she looked like. The plunge pool is sitting on the deck like an above ground pool. There are about six steps to go up before turning 90 degrees to descend into the pool. The pool is on the opposite side of the deck from the sauna about 6-8 meters away. A towel tree, where dad had hung his towel, was about halfway between the sauna and the pool. I was standing between the sauna and the towel tree.

The really cute 18 year old daughter was waiting for dad by the towel tree. She had almost unwrapped to go into the shower, but was waiting for dad. I though I should write something, I was in Austria and also in Slovakia and visited a few well know saunas and from what i noticed, it is mostly old people 50 plus in the sauna area and 90 percent of young women cover up in the sauna as well both in Austria and Slovakia. Nederland is quite open and liberal compared to other EU countries, I visited thermen holiday in nederlands but was mostly old people.

Any recommendation for saunas/sport gym with mixed communal showers in the Nederlands?

I have wondered about this as well. Anyone know a sports club/gym, where you have mixed sauna and showers?

I get that the sauna is a non sexual place, but based on this description how did you stay soft when you saw her naked? In response to UVM2019's question, I think there's a number of legitimate reasons.

Experience is significant. I've been in a number of different social nudity contexts so it has become normal. Saunas are a non-sexual environment, and seeing women nude in a sauna is normal. Is the reason we don't see more erections in saunas by men because it has become normative, or is it because men choose not to view it as a sexual environment? I think a strong argument could be made for the former.

I also think the answer to the question was in the post. I know from experience if I saw a friend of mine I would get hard. Here's that experience:

I was traveling with two female friends from university, one brunette one blonde. The blonde was a casual friend. The brunette I knew better as I had been her team lead for various school projects.

It was April. We were traveling through Europe and were in southern Spain. Could you tell us more about the hotel spas in South Tyrol?

Sure. South tyrol is full of wellness hotels with large spa facilities, usually multiple saunas, steam room and cold/warm pools. Aufguss also are very common. The hotels tend to be quite pricey as the area is very nice and has a beautiful mix of austrian and italian traits (always had amazing meals). In all of them you are basically sure that the spa will be nude, as long as you are in the province of Bolzano/Bozen which is the german-speaking part of Italy. The spa area is generally adult only or 16+ (i have seen families with teens in the sauna a couple of times).

I have been to three different wellness hotels in South Tyrol/Alto Adige and in all of them the spa was nude and strictly enforced with clear signs at the entrance. People generally walked around nude also in between saunas and steam room etc.
After aufguss everyone rushes out nude in the open air, take cold plunges and the staff brings out fruits and little treats. It’s amazing.
They cater for tourists which are generally locals, Austrians and Germans and the average age is I would say 40/45 given they tend to be quite expensive. You do have though many couples in their 30s like us. Never seen groups of young girls. You do get the odd italian (let’s say Italians not from south tyrol lol) couple or family that is very uncomfortable with nudity and is always funny to see them getting accustomed to it. Last year when we were there there was an Italian family with 2 teenager kids and clearly they were not comfortable and kept being wrapped in towels in the sauna. But the dad kept looking at my gf boobs which I think even the wife noticed. I loved it.

You then have a couple of large spas that are not attached to hotels and are open to the public, you just have to pay an entrance fee. I have never been in one of these but for example one of the most famous is the Merano Terme and there sauna is also naked (you can read the reviews on google maps of the Italians, again the ones not from south tyrol, complaining about it lol).

I can put the name of the hotels although everyone seems a bit paranoid about it…

Will be going to that region in a few months in a hotel with wellness but no aufguss.

The Last to Undress
 

Last week I mentioned a family that I saw in a therme/sauna. Here's another experience I had on that same visit.

On the first Saturday of the month at 6pm the therme becomes textile free just like the sauna area. Anyone wanting to use either of the two pools (one indoor and one outdoor) must Adam and Eve it. Often those in the sauna area come to the pools once the area becomes nudist, or just before. They stand around in their robes until they make the announcement that staying in requires everything off.

It was 6:10pm. Just about everyone had already adjusted to the new requirement. There were two middle aged ladies, probably about 40 years old. One was a taller than average woman. She was a little large, but her height almost made her nicely proportional. She was not unattractive and she was as naked as the day she was born. Her friend, on the other hand, was in her bikini. It was black with a white floral pattern. I was standing near them.

I was on the pool deck along the long side of the indoor pool facing the pool. About two meters in front of me was the pool with stairs to enter about a meter to my left; one meter behind me were cubby holes mounted on the wall for people to stow their stuff. About five meters to my left was the lifeguard office, and two meters to my right were the two ladies.

The bikini clad woman walked past me and started to go down the steps into the pool. Her friend said something to her that made her look around with an air of uncertainty. I’m not sure what she was uncertain about. I thought the rules were clear. She looked behind her to the lifeguard office. She walked over and had a very brief conversation with a staff member. If I had to guess what was happening, I would say that she came to the therme uncertain if after 6pm it was nudist or clothing optional with the intention of keeping her bikini on if possible and only stripping down if required. So, I presume she was asking if her being bare was mandatory.

As she left her conversation with the lifeguard and started walking back to her friend, which was towards me as well, I looked intently at her face. There was a little bit of pink between her eyes and on the bridge of her nose, but she didn’t have the bright red cheeks of someone completely embarrassed. Perhaps she was a little embarrassed about having a conversation with a stranger about having to get naked. Or maybe she was embarrassed because she had been committing a social faux pas for the past ten minutes by keeping her swimsuit on. While it was possible that she wasn’t embarrassed at all, the curt summary of her conversation that she shared with her friend made me believe she was a bit embarrassed. Now she was without excuse. She knew the rules, compliance was mandatory, and she was preparing to submit to them.

As soon as she started walking back to her friend, she was reaching behind her back to begin unclipping her top. By the time she passed in front of me her top was off, and her b-cup breasts, with very little sag, and light brown nipples were on full display and fully erect. As soon as she passed me, she stopped right next to me and reached behind me to put her top in a cubby hole. I took one sidestep to my left to give her some room for what I knew was coming next.

Given that she was facing the wall, she was preparing to moon everyone in the pool. Of course, no one would notice as they were doing their own thing. That is no one but her friend who was looking right at her and your faithful correspondent using peripheral vision.

Her thumbs went into the waistband of her bikini bottoms. As she extended her arms downward, she began to bend over. Her suit slid off her hips and she exposed the soft, pale-white skin of her bare bottom. A simple task that took only a second or two, yet such a pleasure to see.

As she left her bikini on the shelf, she had to parade her nude body in front of me to get to the pool stairs. She did a 270 degree turn toward her friend (i.e. away from me) so I couldn’t see her most private parts full frontal. As she entered the pool, I did have a split-second view of her shaved femininity before the water’s pixelating properties censored my view.

Once in the water I saw her immediately start talking to two guys who were in the pool just below her nude friend on the pool deck. This makes me assume they were two couples – one veterans of birthday-suited bathing and the other putting themselves on full display for the first time. That reinforces my assumption that the newbie was unsure if it was nudist or clothing optional and hoping she wouldn’t have to expose herself.

So, the two guys were already nude in the water, and the female friend was au naturale on the pool deck as she was stripping off her bikini. I can imagine she was coping with the reality that not only was she stripping in front of a whole pool full of strangers, which at least was anonymous, or her partner and female friend, neither of which should cause embarrassment, but also a guy friend who will always be able to remember seeing her go utterly bare in public. And, given that he was in the pool just below her when she bent over to step out of her bikini bottom, he probably had a very enviable view of her undercarriage.

Is it possible to except more "rush" at period of weekend 2.5-5.5 beacuse at 1.5 is day off.

I have absolute no idea what you mean except maybe the day before mayday it might be full.
The KT is more everyday people being nude fully relaxed and the VB is more about posh ladies making a fuss about showing. Pick your choice.

Even if not naming it directly, could you give some hints about which place this is? Sounds like in NL.

I would say there are still a few people who like looking at our girlfriends there.

I was also there with my girlfriend recently and while she was laying fully nude in one of the resting rooms, a guy took the free spot in front of us. She had a good look at her for quite a while. We rested mostly in the same room and spotted 3 other girls who were laying there completely naked. At one point a guy around stood up with a clear boner.

There were quite a lot of girls walking or staying casually naked for a long time after they were exiting the sauna. It was a very nice experience.

Yes, I'm also curious what TE will be like in the summer - late July time-frame. Will it be more crowded or less?

Could you perhaps give more specific info? It seems that this concept (using the entire place without swimwear on certain days) has become rare in GER. And M*r*mar is currently closed after a fire.
