it shows the start of the ride, and right out of my camera view is the fuck-wad deciding to drive through the riders, the girl jumping on the hood of his car to stop him, and the dipshit doubling down by jumping out of his car and roughly throwing the 110 pound girl off his car... you can hear the crowd reaction and i drop my bike to go help contain the asshat. he was (rightfully) scared by that point and was convinced to slither back into his car... but the damage had been done to the cameras i had strapped to my bike. it knocked the mounts a-kilter for my phones and loosened the wire to my webcam enough that it went on the fritz. Quelle malchance :(

Damn, sucks that happened. But as a resident I can attest, that's Philly or ya!

overall my experience in Philly for these rides has been awesome, with awesome people. :). i don't want one or two douche-nozzles to tarnish the perception of an otherwise great community experience

this was the "ride marshal" that jumped on the guys' car.... and that he roughly wrestled and man-handled

(for what it's worth... there was an 80-ish year-old woman in the car passenger seat --his mom??-- looking aghast. it added a bit of slapstick humor to the whole sordid affair :) )

Test... This is a link to a 360 view video of the pre-ride before the 2024 world naked bike ride in Philadelphia. Google currently only supports the 360 view on mobile devices, and it is uploaded at 5k... but google doesnlt always spare the bandwidth for that, and there is no way to chose what resolution you want (or see what google has chosen for you) on the mobile app.

I've already uploaded the "overcapture" version of this clip, so the screenshots are duplicates

All-in-all there should be a 10-ish-minute 360 video over the last couple of pages, broken into 5 parts. its crazy... but this 10 minute clip (and the 5 parts, and all of the intermediate stages of files needed to get to the 5 parts) takes up about 120GB on my computer.... which is why i have only been (over) looking at this 10 minute clip. I'm backing-up all that flotsom on google-photos as we speak... when google is done with that (glacially), i can get this off my computer and free up space to look at another clip. i think i have about 150 minutes of 360 footage--- we will see if there is anything fun in there :)

first ten minutes of the Philly naked bike ride. (starting right after i picked my bike back up after the woman-shoving douche-nozzle). this one is another over-cap from the GoPro Fusion 360 camera. I compressed it in iMovie (and added some background music) to get the 10 minute clip down to the xfeed 2GB size-limit.

this part of the ride moved relatively fast, so more separation of the riders, and a good bit of the footage has people relatively far away. good footage at the beginning and around 5 minutes in :)
