I will be the first to admit I have actually broken that rule here a few times, even though I believe it may be the most important rule of all. The thing is, that Mod broke that rule on an almost daily basis. Hey, people don't buy memberships on a site like this hoping to be talked down to, or verbally abused. OCC is supposed to be fun. It's a piss poor business model to have unpaid moderators harrass paying members. Hey, I was one of the few members on that mod's friends list. I liked him...except when he was acting like a stormtrooper. I tried quite a few times to politely suggest he lighten up on people. My advice never seemed to sink in. Meanwhile, members were quitting the forum at a dizzying rate. Finally, reluctantly, so did I. Was what was written above harrassment? No. It was just typical of his heavy handed style. It was the follow up private messages exchanged between the mod and myself about his attitude that turned into the reason I left. Anyway, I've said all I care to say. That mod is gone. I wish him well, but I'm looking forward to a return to the way OCC was before his negative attitude dominated the forums.
