Was the discount the 9.98? I also have that option. If so that's actually not too bad I suppose. I just don't know if I want to do it because it still really ticks me off that you NEED the basic membership to create new interactive stories. Whoever came up with that horrible idea needs to be maimed. Also if you stop to think about it, being able to use your ad blocker really isn't that good of a perk. Yes, the ads are annoying (especially the video ones), but they can be easily ignored.

Yeah, I should say that Amber is a normal girl who gets embarrassed about being exposed as much as her sister Emily. They use this as their way of pranking each other instead of the usual rumors, resentment, and physical violence that sibling rivalries can have.

At least, that's how I conceived of the idea. I figured I could leave it to others to use my chapters as jumping off points to create their own narrative as long its carried on in that particular thread. Perhaps this was not the best tactic, so I'll see about changing/removing mrwoodson's chapters.

The major danger of paying for a membership to create a new interactive story is that you run the risk of losing them if you don't keep paying. I'm not sure what happens to the stories if you revert back to the free membership. Further, any free interactive stories you have now could be in jeopardy of being removed along with any new ones if your membership lapses.

This is all just my paranoia talking, but for a site like writing.com that doesn't seem to care about its users, it could happen. Just something to think about.

I wouldn't do it for the sole reason that it encourages this business strategy. If we all "bite the bullet" and buy into it, then whoever made the idea will point to it and say users are willing to pay to use interactive stories which will eliminate any chances of them getting rid of the program or even encouraging them to take it further.

I've been to many sites that have slowly inched into a pay format, and if this is successful, it's wouldn't be a long shot to see needing a basic membership to see anything past chapter 25 or so in an interactive story.

I can actually see that happening, and if it ever does I will close my account on Writing.com.

I started a silly little ENF story back in 2013 which, for various reasons, I never quite completed. I saved it on Writing.com as an interactive story (set as Private while I worked on it) since it was several chapters long and a single static item would never have been large enough for it all.

I'm going to try and get it finished sometime soon, and once I do I can post it to the ASN story board / these forums and that'll give me a spare Interactive story to work with! I'll be able to do either my Namish or my Dumbass Friends ideas! ^_^

I wish I'd have known what was going to happen. I could have stockpiled some Interactive Story slots.

I just reread the chapters I originally posted, and you're right to be confused. Amber does get aroused by being exposed in public, but she is embarrassed by this fact and doesn't want anyone to know. It's something she fantasizes about, but never acts on. Her sister Emily somehow knows about her kink and decides to give her a push by giving her the crotchless panties. Amber, thinking her kink was a secret, and is ashamed of it, is surprised by her sister's gift, but is turned on by the fact she is only mostly covered under her dress.

It's a complicated idea, but the main idea is that Amber is simultaneously embarrassed and aroused by public nudity. Emily is exploiting it, and once Amber takes revenge by stripping her sister, they end up in a strip war that leaves them constantly underdressed in public, but never get in trouble by the authorities (parents, school principal, police, etc). However, they may be exposed to many of their peers.

This originally began as a story that I wrote, and felt like I wrote myself into a corner. The way I originally wrote it, they would end up partially clothed during school, a bully catches them and makes them do her bidding, which would embarrass both girls, but Amber gets turned on, and Emily is constantly punished for this fact. I couldn't get it to work, obviously, so I hoped turning it into an interactive story would give other writers inspiration to take the original premise and run with it. I think I just didn't make the framework of the story rigid enough so folks knew which way to take the story.

Not really an interactive per se, since every option eventually leads to a single (and incomplete) outcome. Still, one of the benefits to the site is that we can edit other people's work, and in this case that could mean adding some options to open it up a little.

Kind of creepy that there's a 12 and 15 year old option, admittedly, but the 18 year old option seems pretty well developed (no pun intended) and there's scope to use the 24 year old option.
