I also suspect that mer/edith di/etz is on the show but don’t quote me on that (based on the fact that she’s a regular on the NY show and flew to LA today). pop ins and last minute lineup changes are also very common fwiw

Anyone in the UK I've found some shows that look promising.

Sabrage at Lafayette, King’s Cross has an age restriction 18+, contains nudity and adult themes and runs until 6th September

After Miss Julie at Park Theatre 11th - 28th Feb
Content warnings include strong language, nudity, depictions of violence, and references to suicide and sexual abuse

Yentl at Marylebone Theatre 6th March - 12th April
Trigger warnings: Adult themes including full-frontal male and female nudity, use of flashing lights, haze, smoke effects

The Graduate at The Blue Room, The Lawn, 1 Union Rd, Lincoln 19th - 28th March Thurs, Friday and Saturday only
16+ Contains nudity, scenes of a (comically) sexual nature and some bad language.

And two more that are planned but not much information about them yet are

Equus at Menier Chocolate Factory London 7 May – 27 Jun and Theatre Royal Bath 14 - 25 July

Hitchcock Blonde at Palace Theatre Redditch Palace Studio Wed 28 - Sat 31 Oct

Thanks! Really useful.

Did anyone go to see After Miss Julie at Park Theatre yet? The content warnings no longer contain nudity. Though, they also state: "Our content warnings are updated as a production evolves through rehearsals and previews, so please note they may change between booking a ticket and seeing the production." So, I'm wondering if they dropped the nude scene? Having seen a previous production it's brief and not essential. Could equally be performed in lingerie.

From seeing the original staging of Hitchcock Blonde with Rosamund Pike there's no way to do the story without substantial full nudity (in one scene), however. Though, recent productions of Equus seem to go either way with the female lead.

Oh man, I've scoured the internet looking for a more detailed description of that scene in Hitchcock Blonde, but the reviews are all so vague. What was that scene like?

IsaacNewton 02-20-2026 01:09 PM

I've seen a couple of versions of Hitchcock Blonde in addition to the Rosamund Pike original. One was a student production in Birmingham that managed to introduce an extra nude scene for the film student character who in the West End production simply went briefly topless. Totally gratuitous and actually undermined the impact of an important later scene. But I enjoyed it because the venue was a tiny space with a capacity of maybe 100 and no raised stage, basically just a large room. So I saw a girl of 19 or so strip off completely and walk past me from about 10 feet away. I heard some of the other students in the audience remark that the naked girl's mother was a couple of rows behind me. Hopefully she'd been warned of the scene in advance.

The next one I saw was an amateur one in Leamington Spa, the nudity was about as limited as was possible for the play.

Edited to answer Ford Prefect's question.

The Hitchcock character is considering the 'blonde' for his film, and persuades her to 'disrobe' as he puts it for one scene. Total nudity in the West End production, whether or not she's a natural blonde is actually relevant to the plot.

There is another woman in the cast, a young film student researching Hitchcock. Played by Fiona Glascott in the West End, and she doesn't really need to take much off, in the West End she took her top off and there was a vaguely glimpsed shower scene.

Do you remember what her body looked like? Especially the public hair situation?

IsaacNewton 02-21-2026 09:19 AM

The actress playing the film student had a figure like Kate Winslet or a touch heavier. Little pubic hair visible. I can't remember what the one playing the blonde looked like

Sorry, I conflated two questions.

Medium sized and not at all droopy breasts, dark pubic hair trimmed to a well defined triangle. She was early 20s at the time.

Yes I have been to see After Miss Julie, you are right between booking and seeing the content warnings did change they took away the nudity part and added scenes of a sexual nature and I can confirm there was no nudity in it where the nudity would have been the two actors left the stage and the scene was implied. Forgetting there was no nudity this was a really good play, well acting in an intimate venue, the stage was the floor with two rows of chairs all the way round so you got to see all angles wherever you sat, if you like well acted theatre this is well worth a watch.

I also got to see Sabrage as was in London for a couple of days, this again was a little disappointing on the nudity front but not on the entertainment side an hilarious night. The cast was made up of 5 men and 3 women, two comperes with aerial acrobatics, foot juggling, roller skating and a singer, the nudity unfortunately was the two male comperes who were fully nude on a couple of occasions, as for the females there was a towel dance at the start of act two where the whole cast minus one of the women, the dance started with the cast coming onto the stage from different angles wrapped in towels then opening them from the side to show everyone that they were nude then they moved into position and removed the towel so they only covered the front of them before doing different acts of folding the towels smaller at one point they left the towels on the floor and moved to the next one but in a way they were covered by the position of their bodies then they all did a different pose still managing to keep the towels so nothing was seen, we were in the balcony with a side view which turned out to be a good choice as when they were folding the towels and moving around the stage covering themselves from the front we got a great view of the two women backside, at one point the women went to the back of the stage to put their towels back on and you got a glimpse of side boob but that was it, if you were on the front rows downstairs I'm not sure how much you would have seen but from where I was it looked like they kept themselves covered pretty well, one of the women did do a striptease where she went topless but when she removed her bra she had her back to the audience and was at the back of the stage so nothing was seen. Most of the night the women were in skimpy clothing and I did get a video of the final act but not sure if I can post it on here, you were allowed to film but not when there was nudity and the security came out everytime there was checking the audience,

How is her natural hair color relevant to the plot? Do they talk about her bush?

The play is basically about Hitchcock's attitude to women, and there is a suggestion that though he is obsessed by blondes he actually prefers them not to be natural. There is one line where he asks the actress whether she is a natural blonde, 'up to a point' she replies.

Hopefully, they do not nix the nude scene.

Liberation is premiering in LA in 1/27/2027 and running through 2/28/2027. No cast announced yet. Possible that it will be much of the same cast, since the run is so short.

"Yentl at Marylebone Theatre 6th March - 12th April
Trigger warnings: Adult themes including full-frontal male and female nudity, use of flashing lights, haze, smoke effects"

Has anyone managed to see this yet? Is it worth trying to get along to see it? Thx if you can offer a review.

llsn12 03-20-2026 04:48 PM

I saw Yentl the other day. The female nudity takes place in 2 scenes after the interval and are very well signposted in advance. The first scene is where Hodes (Genevieve Kingsford) takes a bath before getting married. This takes place at the back of the stage and behind a curtain. The lighting is clear enough however to see full rear nudity for several seconds before she gets in the bath. Nothing was seen by me when she was in the bath & I think it was too far back for there to be a better angle in the theatre. Kingsford is very attractive with a very nice body. The second scene is towards the end when Yentl (Amy Hack) reveals that she is a woman rather than a man by revealing her breasts. That is at the front of the stage in excellent lighting and also lasts several seconds before a light piece of clothing goes on. Hack is not so attractive here (the make-up & fact she is pretending to be a male doesn't help) and breasts not particularly large but she is slim and in her late 20s I understand.

There is full frontal male nudity but not female so better grammar/wording was needed. If of interest the understudy for both these parts is Kandice Joy but I'm not aware of any performances she will be in or has been in. The production lasts 2.5 hours including interval and the seats are fairly comfortable with good legroom. The stage isn't very high so front row should be fine and some performances are/have been on a seat filler site though for that you get the seat you're given.

I've also managed to see it and not much more I can add to the above review which was pretty precise, the content warning was a little misleading. But on the other hand I thought it was a very good play, well acted and the nudity was ok.

This theatre is regarded as very intimate with notoriously terrible seating. I have to wonder if it's too intimate for this scene to take place as intended? But if it isn't it should be positively career changing for the performers as it will be nationally reviewed & I doubt the critics will take kindly to an obviously censorious production. Opens on 8th May.

If you look on the Chocolate Factory website it states "Please note that this production contains nudity". So looks promising, not seen this on the Bath website yet but guessing they'd be the same.

Hitchcock Blonde at Palace Theatre Redditch Palace Studio Wed 28 - Sat 31 Oct

I went to see The Graduate this weekend being an amateur production was not expected a lot on the nudity front as some of the professional ones I'd watched lately had not delivered what they promised.

The play started in the normal way in Benjamin's bedroom building up to the first nude scene where Mrs Robinson comes in and sees him taking off his wetsuit then starts to seduce him. The scene goes where Mrs R tries to get Ben to unzip her dress so she can have a sleep, this he does and she drops the dress to show a black slip standing at the front of the stage with a double bed behind her and a door to the back left and right, she asks Ben to go and get her purse and when he leaves through the door to the right of the stage as you look at it she goes through the door to the left, Ben comes back and she asks him to come into the bathroom and give her the purse she continues to ask a few times which he declines and puts the purse on the bed, Mrs R then appears from the door, I was sat to the right of the stage as you look at it so could only see her shoulders and up as she was hidden by the bed, she comes through the and walks behind the bed to the door on the right to close it at this point you could see she was fully nude, she then turned to face the audience and stood there for at least 40 seconds then she walked behind the bed to the other side where Ben was standing and stood the other side facing forward still and carried on the scene before turning round to walk back out the door to the left, the whole scene lasted over a minute and for most of this you could she everything.

Later Ben and Mrs R meet in a hotel, the bedroom scene started with Mrs R undressing slowly while talking to Ben, she takes off her dress stockings and was down to some silk shorts and a bra, then they both climb into bed, in this production for scene changes they had some maids that came on and moved everything while joking around with the audience, for this scene they came on and held a sheet in front of the bed while Mrs R and Ben were getting into position, sitting slightly to the right I could just about see past and what was happening behind. Mrs R removed her bra and Ben was in boxers and when the sheet was dropped Ben was on top of Mrs R for about 10 seconds then the sheet went up again and some of the maids moved the bed so it was sideways to and when the sheet dropped again Mrs R was on top of Ben topless but Ben was holding her tits then the next bed turn was the headboard to the front with Ben behind for this one the hotel manager walks on with a drink which he gives to Mrs R also when this is happening Mr R comes onto the stage and starts talking as if it's a dream then the last bed turn is back in the normal position with Ben between Mrs R legs under the sheets, he then comes up and they continue the scene with Mrs R covering herself with a sheet but as she moves around her boobs keep popping out from the sheets, the scene ends with her picking up her bra and getting out of bed to the right of stage fully topless and putting her drink on a sideboard then walking behind the bed with her back to me to get dressed again. This is Mrs R last nude scene.

The next nude scene was when Ben was on his first date with Elaine Robinson, he didn't want it to go well so took her to a strip club, one of the actresses who played a maid became the stripper for this scene. Ben and Elaine were sat to the left of the stage as you look at it with the other half free the stripper comes into the room from the door back right in a dressing gown and walks to another of the maids who is holding a record player and puts on some music then stands at the front of the stage and unties the gown and pulls it off her right shoulder and drops it to show her right boob with a tassel on it then she does the same on the left and throws down the dressing gown and stands there with only a thong and tassels on, she then starts her dance moving from one side to the other the does some hip thrusts and a few more moves before turning round and walking towards the back off the stage while flicking her legs up to kick her bum she then turns round and shakes her boobs so the tassels are moving in different directions making them go both ways then she walks behind Elaine and makes out she smacking her boobs around Elaine's head then walks by one of the maids that is playing a drunk before coming back to do the same again to Elaine, at this Ben gets up and turns the music off and gives her money to leave which she does with one of the men from the bar to earn a bit more money, this scene lasted for about a minute and a half, once Ben and Elaine had done there talking the stripper comes back in still in tassels counting her money to get her dressing gown Elaine says how nice her boobs were and she spends another 30 seconds before covering.

The last nude scene was right at the end after Ben had interrupted Elaine's wedding and they had run away together, Elaine is in her wedding dress and recreates the scene from earlier where Mrs R ask Ben to unzip her Elaine sits on the bed which is positioned with the headboard at an angle on the right side of the stage with the front facing towards the front left and removes her shoes Ben then unzips her dress, she then takes off the dress revealing some silk shorts a white bra and stockings, she takes a cigarette from Ben and puts one leg on the bed and removes the stocking she then does the same on the other side, facing towards the back right hand side of the stage so where I was sat had a good side view, she then stands sideways towards us and takes off her bra and turns facing towards front left where we could still see her boobs talks for a few seconds and then turns back picks up her dress and sits on the bed covering herself, this is the last scene and when it finishes the lights go out so they can leave the stage.

As well as all of this it was the best version of the Graduate I'd ever seen, very funny, really well acted by the whole cast and some really brave nudity from the actresses that probably had family, friends and work colleagues in the audience.
