I also suspect that mer/edith di/etz is on the show but don’t quote me on that (based on the fact that she’s a regular on the NY show and flew to LA today). pop ins and last minute lineup changes are also very common fwiw

Anyone in the UK I've found some shows that look promising.

Sabrage at Lafayette, King’s Cross has an age restriction 18+, contains nudity and adult themes and runs until 6th September

After Miss Julie at Park Theatre 11th - 28th Feb
Content warnings include strong language, nudity, depictions of violence, and references to suicide and sexual abuse

Yentl at Marylebone Theatre 6th March - 12th April
Trigger warnings: Adult themes including full-frontal male and female nudity, use of flashing lights, haze, smoke effects

The Graduate at The Blue Room, The Lawn, 1 Union Rd, Lincoln 19th - 28th March Thurs, Friday and Saturday only
16+ Contains nudity, scenes of a (comically) sexual nature and some bad language.

And two more that are planned but not much information about them yet are

Equus at Menier Chocolate Factory London 7 May – 27 Jun and Theatre Royal Bath 14 - 25 July

Hitchcock Blonde at Palace Theatre Redditch Palace Studio Wed 28 - Sat 31 Oct

Thanks! Really useful.

Did anyone go to see After Miss Julie at Park Theatre yet? The content warnings no longer contain nudity. Though, they also state: "Our content warnings are updated as a production evolves through rehearsals and previews, so please note they may change between booking a ticket and seeing the production." So, I'm wondering if they dropped the nude scene? Having seen a previous production it's brief and not essential. Could equally be performed in lingerie.

From seeing the original staging of Hitchcock Blonde with Rosamund Pike there's no way to do the story without substantial full nudity (in one scene), however. Though, recent productions of Equus seem to go either way with the female lead.

Oh man, I've scoured the internet looking for a more detailed description of that scene in Hitchcock Blonde, but the reviews are all so vague. What was that scene like?

IsaacNewton 02-20-2026 02:09 PM

I've seen a couple of versions of Hitchcock Blonde in addition to the Rosamund Pike original. One was a student production in Birmingham that managed to introduce an extra nude scene for the film student character who in the West End production simply went briefly topless. Totally gratuitous and actually undermined the impact of an important later scene. But I enjoyed it because the venue was a tiny space with a capacity of maybe 100 and no raised stage, basically just a large room. So I saw a girl of 19 or so strip off completely and walk past me from about 10 feet away. I heard some of the other students in the audience remark that the naked girl's mother was a couple of rows behind me. Hopefully she'd been warned of the scene in advance.

The next one I saw was an amateur one in Leamington Spa, the nudity was about as limited as was possible for the play.

Edited to answer Ford Prefect's question.

The Hitchcock character is considering the 'blonde' for his film, and persuades her to 'disrobe' as he puts it for one scene. Total nudity in the West End production, whether or not she's a natural blonde is actually relevant to the plot.

There is another woman in the cast, a young film student researching Hitchcock. Played by Fiona Glascott in the West End, and she doesn't really need to take much off, in the West End she took her top off and there was a vaguely glimpsed shower scene.

Thanks for this. Can you give more of a description of the girl in the student production please?

Do you remember what her body looked like? Especially the public hair situation?

IsaacNewton 02-21-2026 10:19 AM

The actress playing the film student had a figure like Kate Winslet or a touch heavier. Little pubic hair visible. I can't remember what the one playing the blonde looked like

My apologies for the lack of clarity. I meant Rosamund Pike.

Sorry, I conflated two questions.

Medium sized and not at all droopy breasts, dark pubic hair trimmed to a well defined triangle. She was early 20s at the time.

Yes I have been to see After Miss Julie, you are right between booking and seeing the content warnings did change they took away the nudity part and added scenes of a sexual nature and I can confirm there was no nudity in it where the nudity would have been the two actors left the stage and the scene was implied. Forgetting there was no nudity this was a really good play, well acting in an intimate venue, the stage was the floor with two rows of chairs all the way round so you got to see all angles wherever you sat, if you like well acted theatre this is well worth a watch.

I also got to see Sabrage as was in London for a couple of days, this again was a little disappointing on the nudity front but not on the entertainment side an hilarious night. The cast was made up of 5 men and 3 women, two comperes with aerial acrobatics, foot juggling, roller skating and a singer, the nudity unfortunately was the two male comperes who were fully nude on a couple of occasions, as for the females there was a towel dance at the start of act two where the whole cast minus one of the women, the dance started with the cast coming onto the stage from different angles wrapped in towels then opening them from the side to show everyone that they were nude then they moved into position and removed the towel so they only covered the front of them before doing different acts of folding the towels smaller at one point they left the towels on the floor and moved to the next one but in a way they were covered by the position of their bodies then they all did a different pose still managing to keep the towels so nothing was seen, we were in the balcony with a side view which turned out to be a good choice as when they were folding the towels and moving around the stage covering themselves from the front we got a great view of the two women backside, at one point the women went to the back of the stage to put their towels back on and you got a glimpse of side boob but that was it, if you were on the front rows downstairs I'm not sure how much you would have seen but from where I was it looked like they kept themselves covered pretty well, one of the women did do a striptease where she went topless but when she removed her bra she had her back to the audience and was at the back of the stage so nothing was seen. Most of the night the women were in skimpy clothing and I did get a video of the final act but not sure if I can post it on here, you were allowed to film but not when there was nudity and the security came out everytime there was checking the audience,

How is her natural hair color relevant to the plot? Do they talk about her bush?

The play is basically about Hitchcock's attitude to women, and there is a suggestion that though he is obsessed by blondes he actually prefers them not to be natural. There is one line where he asks the actress whether she is a natural blonde, 'up to a point' she replies.
