thanks for sharing
it's an interesting thread for sure if we look at the haircut, bodypaint and houses - perhaps we are able to recognize the tribe i believe it has to be the Xingu - Kamayurás or Kuikuro paty.posto7.com.br/xingu.htm they have contact with "the white men" for a long time and are friendly to visitors they build large houses and have a big ground for their wrestling matches |
Hey ! Does anyone have any videos or pics of tribes of INDIA ??? Many indigenous tribes live in INDIA and Himalayas still in the nude??

I don't have any other information to add to the discussion about the surprise nudity of the French reporter.
I did contact the owner of the VHS tape and ... As he is still using a f'n VHS player, we won't be seening an uploaded video anytime soon. He does assure me the language is, indeed, French. He did take some snaps (yes actual photographs of the TV screen). One shows the panel hosts of the show so if anybody with knowledge of French television recognises them, please enlighten. I have included a second snap just so people joining this thread in progress won't be left with a "WTF is that?" expression. By the way the bodypaint looks spot on. Thanks again everyone for your interest. |
Thanks again for the extra screenshots.
Man its really frustrating.. I would love to see that video.. Lets hope one of our members recognizes the panel so we can ID this show. BTW I wonder if the guys in the panel knew that they were about to see there hot collegue butt naked :) |
It's clearly old, at most the 80', maybe the 70'.
There weren't many channels in France in those years. Only TF1, Antenne 2 (often referred to as "A2"), and FR3. |

another xingu tribe - the Yawalapiti - have the same bodypaints as the Kuikuro
the first contact with the white man was in 1987 we should not go too far in the past - so it could be the 90thies as well and in this time vhs was a common used medium small vid and infos: oxfordhumanities.com/products_details.php?name=products&id=9 |
The women wearing those black bottoms look out of place in that region. I notice their prized uluri, the triangular piece of bark they wear on their mons, is gone.
