Thanks for the excellent review. I thought this would be very well worth seeing regardless of the NOS content so am very pleased to have booked a good seat at one of the now sold out performances. I note however that the single night Salford performance has only sold a hand full of seats in a half closed theatre!

I also saw this play, which has now closed, and in the preview seen agree there was strictly speaking no female nudity. The opening couldn't have been worse with the female in bed in a bra which was very firmly covered up by a duvet alongside her naked male co-star.

However in an early & brief dark scene the female showed a bit of butt below a top. Later on after her jeans came on & off (showing nothing) as the play progressed she moved adusting the mattress in a top hanging over her butt where it became apparent she was wearing a thong. This showed the lower part of her butt for a few seconds only as she moved around. It appeared the best place to have been seated would have been at the side near the entrance where she bent down a little for a couple of seconds whilst adjusting the mattress. That wasn't where I sat & matresses don't necessarily move around as required so the best place could have changed during the production.

For several clear minutes at different times she was in a bra which was large & black being neither terribly plain nor terribly attractive & appearing a bit on the large side for her small breasts. I don't know if the thong had been changed to larger underwear for other performances, or not regarded worth mentioning in the earlier review.

The male full nudity was from the guy who played Callum in the last series of Benidorm, so not a complete nobody, if of interest.

The Heat
 

To confirm the completed version at S-adler’s W-ells also has full nudity from all the dancers, despite the “partial” website content warning. I misidentified the long nude solo, which is actually B-onni B-ogya (pictured), showing literally everything if you can follow her rapid naked convulsions closely enough. But choreographer B-ecky N-amgauds does also get naked (and has a glorious light bush). In the post-show discussion she admitted that the poignant collective nudity at the end came out of an improvisation in their very first rehearsal, and she built the rest of the show to lead up to that.

There was some extra nudity since the preview: B-onni now dances the love duet with B-ecky in a *very* low-buttoned cardigan, such that by the end her breasts are hanging out. And the Taiwanese dancer was a last-minute replacement. Otherwise only limited changes: the theatre is bigger so the dancers are somewhat further away, and the naked body at the beginning now emerges from back left. I did forget to mention the ten-minute sequence where all the (clothed) dancers masturbate vigorously using domestic items, humping themselves against everything from sofas to a vacuum cleaner, with a glowing dildo in the foreground just in case you hadn’t caught on… (there is a reason the show is called “The Heat”).

The London performances are sold out but there are apparently still tickets for Salford in June.

Hopefully, they do not nix the nude scene.

The nude scene is an absolutely crucial scene in the play (not to mention a good chunk of the runtime), so I can't imagine that they'd cut it.

I can, however, see the Broadway security cracking down hard on recording, especially as footage from the first run leaked so quickly.

I've only just learned that the show was at this year's Edinburgh Fringe the other week. If I'd have known I would have given serious consideration to attending. It wouldn't be my first experience in a naturist environment, but it would have been my first experience in a theatre without any clothes, so I'm not sure how keen I would have been to go. It's one thing being on a beach in the sun, or outdoors, and another thing to be nude at a show, if you know what I mean. It may have been a better environment than the WNBR afterparty, as I believe that the London show was clothing optional, meaning that some of the audience would have opted not to be naked, whereas the Edinburgh show was strictly clothes-free.

She was naked (or at least topless) in a play I saw at Chichester Minerva Theatre almost 20 years ago. From my sketchy memories, she'd had a boob job, and not a very good one at that.
