Yandex

Is Yandex the best one to use? I have trouble getting images to load there

Yandex vs G Images

Hi think that Yandex is better but you will get hits from Google Images that are not on Yandex. I would do Yandex first then Google Images

other than yandex?

is there anything else besides tineye, google and yandex? any way to search deeper?

Good question. Google hasn't been much help and Yandex for me takes forever to load anything if at all. Bing at one time was decent but shows nothing for me now Tineye was the go to for me in years past rarely finds anything for me now.

My question: Is there a reverse image search program that can search your hard drive in the same way?

I use Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder, which can be found here:

http://www.duplicate-finder. com/photo.html

(Remove the space).

It is fairly basic, and I found if you do a search with it, turn off "gif search", as it takes forever if you have it on. Once I got used to how it worked, it has been quite valuable for me, especially since it's free.

Regards...

Another alternative is DupeGuru, this is available for free on Windows, Mac, Linux - not the most user friendly but once you get the hang of it, it's super useful.

If you use FireFox with is an addon called ImageSearchOptions' and all you need to do is right click and you get a long list of search sites. I just started using it so I can't say it's great, but it gives at least 10 search engines including google, yandex, tineye and bing plus more. The only thing is that it only searches one search engine at a time. You can go back and do it again to search more than one search engine, but if you only need to use the main search engines and you use FF they have another addon SearchImage which will search the 3 main engines yandex, tineye and google all at the same time.

Crazy how well yandex facial recognition works.

It's frighteningly good...

Works even better when you crop the photo to only the face.
