Just a couple of original shots from me to start, from the 'chilly' Friday evening ride (14C with showers) in Southampton.


Despite the weather, we had a similar number of riders to previous years with about 100-120 in total. Of that, I counted about 8-9 fully nude females, if you include the full breasted young lady here who wore a home made floral 'pussy patch', which she was convinced she would lose in the first few minutes......alas, it lasted the whole ride:mad: Plenty more shots to come, but I am off to the beach to warm up!;)

Montreal Mystery Girl
 

And if anyone comes across what they think may be this girl from the Montreal ride in their searches please post more. I'm intrigued. She didn't pose in the group photo but probably rode in the event given what she's wearing. (credit goes to Flicker user LapriZ for all the Montreal pics).

The London 2011 event was first WNBR event I’ve witnessed. Fantastic – I think I may ride it next year, as my overriding impression was just how much fun everyone on a bike was having. Given the weather forecast a couple of days earlier, it was a remarkably pleasant temperature, mostly sunshine.
I learnt a lot about where to stand – and unfortunately where not to stand, to get good shots. Still trying to work out if it’s possible to be at the start, the finish and two other locations (e.g. the bridge crossings) in order to get maximum number of shots. Would welcome anybody else’s experience on this matter. The riders took a lot longer to get around than I’d expected so this gives me hope that it is possible to catch them at a number of different locations in future years.

At the end I stood by Buckingham Palace and tried a bit of video, which I’ll post soon. In the meantime, here are a few captures of an entertaining incident where three brave riders attempted nude shots outside of the Palace gates. The policeman on guard obviously told them to go away – so not sure if they managed to get any shots in (I do hope so). Anyway, I managed to capture some of this. Well done to the three of them – very brave.

BTW, 11th June is the Queen’s ‘official birthday’ so there had been major ceremonials earlier in the day, hence all the flags. I wonder if Her Majesty got a glimpse of the WNBR from the Palace?

This attractive couple made no attempt to change in private and seemed happy to do it in the middle of a large crowd. Well done to both of them. I think I've seen their pics from previous years (wore dark framed specs last year).

End of London Ride
 

I didn't get back to the end until about 10 mins after the finish. Most riders had quickly dressed and left by then, but a few lingered and enjoyed the atmosphere. Sure I've seen this lady in previous years. Think she goes under the name of 'Godiva'.
