There is a video uncensored on the "Tube" site about the Zo'e Indians. It shows a couple of scenes where the vulva is shown, but no anus. The documentary in Spanish says something about women learning to sit with one heel tucked up against the opening of the vagina, maybe for protection against bugs?

So they really shave or pluck and it seems that almost all of them.

My wife and I have frequented several nudist resorts, and the women, all shapes and sizes, are very relaxed in the way they sit, lie down, et cetera, and everything is in plain sight. I would consider the setting there in the Amazon of such an aymosphere that everything the people do is considered regular, except for that placing of the heel tucked against the vulval opening. I've seen videos of those women bending over showing even their anuses. Just a thought.

I have traveled abroad quite a bit and have visited a few of these. A couple of these photos I recognize from bora bora, near Iquitos in Peru. I have even spoken with a few 'tribal members' who speak a fair amount of English, which is mandatory in schools there.

The dances are performed at encampments arranged to appear like isolated camps. These encampments are normally located outside the town/city. The women in the photos are paid to perform in the rituals/dances. Quite commonly, afterward, they dress up and with their friends go shopping or dancing in the nearby city. You might have noticed some have tanlines, clothing markings and such. The dances are planned, choreographed, and even advertised to tourists.

Just a note, the truly isolated indigenous camps we all remember sparking our curiosity as boys from natl geographic who actually hunt with spears, live and dance in the nude, etc are VERY difficult to get to (say a matter of days by river and hiking). They don't speak a word of spanish or portuguese (much less english) are nervous with outsiders and cameras, and some can even be a little dangerous. However, a big thanks, the photos are fantastic!

Women from Bora tribe near Iquitos in Peru were completely naked in the past. Of course not today, but at the beginning of the 20th century women and girls in this tribe were naked, while men and boys wore loincloths. And not only in Bora tribe, but there was a similar custom among other tribes in the area. Better said in all North-west Amazon because similar custom was widespread among the tribes in all North-west Amazon not only in northern Peru, but southeastern Colombia, northwestern Brazil too.
