OK, while waiting for the last set to upload I found this press release for the event, which explains the nature of the event, but not the nudity. It does refer to an arts and crafts design competition, so could this be part of that? I don't know, but for some reason it makes it hotter to know these girls are parading around full frontal at a mainstream show, in front of ordinary people. Anyway, here's the press release:

"The 8th China International Ceramics Industry Exhibition will be held from September 16 to 19 in the city of Zibo in east China’s Shandong province.

About 40,000 participants from over 30 countries and regions are expected to appear in this show. It was said that the latest porcelain and pottery and the new technologies belong to more than 1,000 ceramics enterprises would be unveiled at the large-scale exhibition.

“It will be a pageant in ceramics circles that promotes exchanges between China and the world and fosters the industry’s development in Zibo.” Just as what the city’s Mayor Zhou Qingli said, sponsored by China Federation of Industrial Economics and China Ceramic Industry Association, the exposition will display a range of products including industrial ceramics, ceramics for daily use, artistic work and that used in building.

Because there will be more than 300 domestic and overseas buyers taking part in the purchasing meeting during the exhibition, the exhibition zones are organized according to the product categories.

Zibo has allied with international ceramics associations, chambers of commerce and multinational purchasing groups.

There will also be a product design competition in four categories including daily-use, arts and crafts, building and sanitary ceramics. The latest designs by 423 ceramics artists from seven provinces will be on display to improve innovation in the sector’s technology, arts and materials. The oldest competitor is more than 80 years old and youngest just 9.

500 domestic and overseas experts are expecting to exchange scientific and technological results during the academic meetings and forums. About 7,000 hi-tech concepts will be on showed.

Since 2001 the exhibition has been held every year bringing over 500 agreements worth $4 billion. Because of playing such an important role in promoting the development of ceramics in industry an science, the event is famous at both home and abroad.

The ceramics sector, as one of most influential industries in Zibo, generates 20 billion yuan in revenue every year through producing 860 million items a year, 60 percent of which are exported to 80 countries and regions.

In the city Zibo, about 800 million sq m of ceramic building materials are produced every year."
