A few scans of the few Mood Mosaic CDs in my collection. I have three others on vinyl but they don't have naked women on the covers.

I'm a little surprised nobody has mentioned the Ohio Players. Man, I used to linger over their albums in the record stores.

Porno flick music.......

Some wild covers here. My dad has that Tijuana Brass album with the girl in whipped creme and a couple Ohio Players albums. I thought those were racy, but now I know they were just the tip of the iceberg.

I used to be a member of this prolific noise/nonsense/dada act.

Here are a few covers from some of our Archive.org/Last FM free download albums/EPs. Some had naked ladies on the cover. Some didn't. These are some that did.

That's pretty retro looking for a new album. It reminds me of this LP from 1978. Not from my collection but rather found on Discogs.com after a couple of minutes trying to remember the exact title.

:D Love that second post, I need that record. :D

Reminds me of this album. Bought the CD in a secondhand shop because I like Brit Jazz and loved the cover but would love to find a cheap copy of the original vinyl edition.

New one.

I bought the Roxy Music Country Life album when it first came out when I was about 15 or 16 and my mother made me take it back. Soon after they reissued another version which I bought but today that original cover is worth a couple bucks. (she did the same thing to me with the Beatles album that had the butchered babies on it).

:D Literally. A local secondhand record shop near me sells it, and all the other 7 Roxy LPs, for £1.50 a pop. Here in the UK it's the alternative "shrubbery" artwork that is the rare one as it was never used in this country, or probably anywhere in Europe.

Hope it wasn't an original as those things go for thousands of dollars. The 70's reissue however I wouldn't loose any sleep over...

Body Painted Nude from Big Paul Mauriat Album in 1968

1 Attachment(s)
The song "Love is Blue" by Paul Mauriat and His Orchestra was an international hit in 1968 charting at number-1 for five weeks.

The song was from the album "Blooming Hits" on the Philips label (PHS 600-248-1968)

The album with the memorable cover was on display everywhere records were sold because the song was such a big hit.

Body painting was something new to many people at the time. In those days, some people took offense at the picture, but the music was getting air play on all kinds of US radio stations from Top-40 hit stations aimed at teenagers, to "elevator/dentist office" orchestral music stations aimed at the older crowd. Even the stations that specialized in Frank Sinatra type music were playing it.

The music was popular, but I am sure a lot of guys bought the album for the cover and used the popular music as an excuse. It probably also stayed at the top of their record stack where it could always easily be seen and enjoyed. ;)

Well actually it's a compilation of tracks from his 70's and 80's LPs, I'd have thought the title would have been a clue

Here's his 1976 "La Condition Masculine" LP from on which the image was originally used.
