Yikes! How did you feel about it in the aftermath? Scared? Thrilled?

Understand. I can tell you it's a thrill, but you have to do what you're comfortable with. I absolutely understand, it would be bad if anyone ever figured out my wife's pics.

Try taking some with a sheet for a background or something, crop out her face, make sure she's not wearing any obviously identifiable jewelry, and you're good to go, but if you just can't risk it, you just can't.

FACE

I just saw a spam email on my email, with a pass word I have used a lot, and they wanted $2800 or they said they would copy my video's or pictures and send them to all my family. Claimed they could do that. Nothing yet. We'll c.

In the unlikely situation where someone did recognize you or your wife/gf, seems even less likely they'd do anything other than enjoy the find. I guess there will always be weirdos and jerks like anywhere but I wonder if the risk is overstated. Any stories from those who have posted face pics and good or bad outcomes?

Ive been showing my wife and now ex wife for over 10 years shes been recognised once and i chat with him most nights so far he has kept my secret and loves wanking over her and asking me all sorts of personal questions, Hes kept my secret for over 8 years

my wife (ex) is posted on all sorts of sites now. i hope to give guy blow jobs to keep my secret lol

I never will either. I like living life without complications.

And while I'm confident 99% if you save pictures and do nothing else with them, it's that 1%. It would destroy her career as well as our trust. I really only come here to read the stories and occasionally she my own. Even then I'm worried someone works out its me.
I also have other pics I've taken at the beach or that I've been sent. I may one day post those (without faces) I haven't plucked up the courage yet.

I'm nervous about posting pictures, too. I mainly have taken videos of my fun and by the time I crop an image it ends up very zoomed in because I'm trying to get rid of anything that could tie it back to us.

I don't want to get identified, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me, really. If one of my partners was outed, it would have a much bigger impact and I'd feel horrible.

You forgot the one most important deletion and that's the exif data info that comes with the original photo.

How does one delete the exif data nectcouple?

Just don't post the original. Most photo editing software will delete the data.
Just copy the photo into the program, make a small change and save that copy and post.
(Just double check that the data is gone.)

Screen capturing the pic seems to do it, too.

That's right, because that's also not the original. :)

Mike, that's interesting. I'll have to let you know

In Windows right-click on photo, Properties and there is an option to make a copy with all meta data stripped out.

There is alps a free program called ExifPurge

Key metadata data to remove are:
Location: latitude and longitude - switch off that option on your phones photo app or camera if it has GPS.
make/model of phone/camera
sometimes Owner/username can be embedded
