More people should step up and contribute! I know there must be some of you lurking around with cash crops of original pics on your harddrives... |

Kazesim, I have toyed with the idea of starting a website/blog devoted solely to bike and run pics. Know of any such sites already? interested? Klondike |

My main concern would be overexposure. These type of events have a history of dying out if they become too known to the public. And girls become more reluctant to participate if they are aware of Internet exposure. Still, it could be a nice project to consider down the road. |

But luckily - I have no desire to be famous. :) So any site i put up would be low key. Just a place to get info, post and download pics. I think it should reflect the spirit of the event - informal, sort of grass roots, and just plain fun. Overexposed/professionalized public nudity (Havasu, etc) leads to a predictable product anyway, even if it doesn't effect babe turnout (which is often coerced). The Naked Mile website made a lot of mistakes including being very open and brazen about what they were doing. And putting their entire focus on a single event really shined a spotlight on the runners and made them uncomfortable. That, coupled with the fact there was not much PN on the internet compared to today probably killed that event. Today, though - I think thing are different. It may take more overexposure to kill an event now. But also, I am of the belief that as soon as one ride dies, another, less publicized one will come along to take its place. Kids won't stop running or biking nude. The NQR this year had a date change, from Sat to Mon, and i wondered if this was to keep spectators off balance. But they didn't cancel altogether. Anyway, thanks for the input - we'll see what happens :) regards, Klondike |

A great challenge for America's youth!
To keep these sort of events going! I know the annual Solstice ride happens up near Seattle, but to organize these rides on campus [anywhere] must be a real challenge! It appears to be great fun for the participants, but sadly I think so many campus officials fear backlash against the students, negative stereotyping of behavior, and post-collegiate impact on peoples' careers, and as such they have banned these things totally. Where is the support of American freedom and individuality in that I ask?

Awesome
One of the best, if not the best thread on occ and some of the best pics I have ever seen. The girls are amazing, has this event taken place the last couple of years. These great pics seem to be dated a few years back, and if the event has been held is there anywhere to get more pics of this awesome event. Haven't seen any of these pics or tufts naked quad run pics since about 2008. Even coccozella has nothing, anyone know of anywhere... Cheers

I wonder if Facebook might have passed it's peak? The invites for WNBRs in the UK are well down on this time last year and it was used then as a primary tool to drum up student support.

It's disappointing that the digital age and the fun police have stopped the spur of the moment free actions of awesome events like the naked mile and tufts quad run. We have nothing like that here in oz and I have never seen so many gorgeous normal girls like in those events. It seems to me that the student faculties are the ones that seem to be behind closing down participation in the runs. I think the girls who run would do it because they enjoy the fun and freedom of letting loose and getting naked- to show off just that once or twice, and enjoy the feeling of showing off their bodies. If it wasn't for the faculties and the people against nudity these events would still be popular I believe, and maybe too many fun police who Marshall these events stopping people from taking pics just gives the whole event a bad taste. It should be like the wnbr if people get naked in public for fun then if you get snapped then that's part of the fun. If photographers want to get good pics of nude events then instead of making themselves stand out they should get naked themselves and then they won't look like they are just there to get pics off women. I think too many clothed photographers at the naked mile and people with no sense of fun that make the minds up of the students is what has stopped these unreal runs. I don't think the girls care about what pics that are taken and who would know it was them anyway. The naked mile and quad run pics on cocozella are fantastic but there isn't that many, but definitely worth joining for if you enjoy nude run pics. I joined just for them pics but haven't rejoined because there hasn't been any updates for years now. The threads here have sum awesome pics but all from the same years and if anyone can come up with some new or original pics it would be awesome. Cheers

I think people are more sophisticated about the internet now in general and because of that, they all know how to keep pics out of the hands of people that they don't want viewing them. Whether its Facebook or some other site, its probably become the norm to privatize pics like those from naked runs. I have done that with many of my more sensitive run pics, and I have encouraged others to do the same right here at OCC. So, I guess what I'm saying is I support the practice as a means of keeping these runs viable, but of course regret it if there are pics out there I can't find!
I dont think Cocco's on the other hand is worried about lawsuits, but they have had the burning man people to contend with as well as some legal problems with some past naked mile vids. Anyway, this thread is about campus stuff, but I'd probably rather that any further posts on this topic go in the Official Naked Run thread - thats the thread for all of this -discussions and pics... thanks, Klondike |
You are incredible
