The church my wife and I attend has programs for college-age youth. Here is a group of them on a Friday afternoon preparing to depart on a weekend retreat at a forest camp downstate. On any Sunday morning, this young lady is a 'good girl' by any measure. She is polite, respectful, reverent and dresses conservatively. But when fun times roll around, she lets her hair down.

Cheeky shorts are a fashion trend I heartily endorse. This co-ed was walking home from class along a well-traveled campus street.

On their way to class. Four decades ago when I was in college, co-eds never walked around campus with a portion of their butt hanging out. However, hundreds of them had no problem whatsoever letting it all hang out at the limestone quarries near town.

The arrival of spring weather brings the return of co-eds running around in cheeky shorts. I snapped these photos just off-campus in a commercial district featuring shops, bars and eateries popular with students after classes and on weekends. In the first photo, three co-eds cross the street from campus to city. In the next 4 they stand on the corner, talking. In the last, cheeky girl heads out on her own, destination, a bar & grill just down the street.

You can spy far more exposed butt cheek on the beach but in my opinion, it's hotter on the street. Context matters.

Photos 3 & 4: Another fabric tugger, snapped one minute after photos 1 & 2. In the first frame in the collage, her stance and right arm position suggests she is digging denim out of her crotch. Having accomplished that, she reaches behind and digs it out of her crack.

I have a suggestion for co-eds who don't want their butt cheeks to hang out: don't wear short shorts. For the sake of the male population, I hope they ignore that advice.

In my pocket I carry my GoPro Hero 5 wherever I go, always watching for opportunity. While shopping, I ran across these women. These are frame grabs from 4K video. At the time, I was totally focused on the woman wearing denim cheeky shorts. Not until later when I reviewed the video on my laptop did I realize her friend's butt crack was showing.
