These are amazing pictures. I was shocked (and pleased) to see them shaved too. Thanks for all of your efforts to get these posted here. :)

As I said above, shaved was the rule of the day. It was illegal (in the UK) to show any part of the female genitalia, so they had to be touched out or, later, airbrushed. There are a few more to put up and on one or two you can see that an 'accident' has occurred and the re-touching has been missed.

These were typical of the photos around in the 1950's and it came as a shock to many a young lad to find out that girls had hair as well!!

It was not until the early 60's that pubic hair was allowed to be shown, and it sort of slowly crept in. Now, of course, the pendulum has swung back!

If you look in the hub cap of photo66, you can see the photographer's relection, complete with tripod and camera!

This is all of the. I will post a zip file with the ones that are not included in the previous files, and another one with all of them in - just give me time! The last one will be a challenge for the Photoshop artists out there!
