Great to see the genuine thing DirtyHarry .....you will know bur a lot of the youngster wont that before the 1970s in many of the commercial magazines pubic hair was airbrushed out .....and a lot of the pics in this thread are not shaved but airbrushed......sorry guys.

It is wonderful to see these images. Some are from Health & Efficiency magazine which is a UK publication with a long history in promoting nudism.

Special tribute needs to be given to its editor in the 1960s and 70s, Leslie Bainbridge who had great foresight on the subject of shaving. Leslie was a photographer himself and insisted on models being shaved. He was a great and early promoter of pictures of shaved women and in his editorial capacity presented pictures of, and articles on, 'depilation' in nudism. The practice of shaving being accepted early among nudists owes a great deal to him. He was also very keen on circumcision and encouraged correspondence on these subjects in the magazine.

I believe the SCN, Shaved and Cut Naturists club still has a following in the UK.
