On posting one's own copyrighted materials ...
 

Since EVERYTHING a person creates is automatically copyrighted as soon as it is created, regardless of whether notice of copyright is appeneded to it or not, it stands to reason that everything which appears on this forum is copyrighted by the creator of the document or image. Even this message is copyrighted by the person who created it (that's me) even if the creator of this document (that's me) doesn't tell you so.

My document posted a couple of messages above here contained the following copyright notice: Copyright 1999, 2005 © by Roxanne L. Green. All rights reserved. Personal copy is ok. Reposting or Internet Archiving prohibited Posted by the author and copyright owner to One Click Chicks Forum on March 13, 2005.

What that appears to my non-legal mind to mean is that the person who owns the copyright (that's me) has personally posted the message in question to this specific place. That means it appears here by the express written permission of the copyright owner (that's me) and that the copyright owner (that's me) still retains all other rights to the use of the piece, as specified in the copyright notice. That is the purpose of the copyright notice!

If Alex doesn't feel it appropriate to post things which the owner has copyrighted, and which the owner has placed on this forum, than this forum must immediately cease to exist. If Alex feels my posting must go away, he has the power to make that happen. If he feels it needs to go away, that will leave me with two choices. Accept his decision gracefully (which I most likely will do) or not accept it his decision gracefully.

Such is life. And speaking of life, I've got the ashes of a dead husband I'm gonna scatter at sea this morning, so I'd best head off to bed. Good night all.
