but really, the best way to drum up stories and pics is to get to know the people or key players in NYC that are involved in all of this. These players involve top free activists, exhibitionists, artists and photographers. Already I have mentioned Andy Golub, Spencer Tunick, Zefrey Throwell, Zach Hyman, Julia Wiedeman, Erica Simone (the bare NY citizen), Jordan Matter, Moiria Johnston (wall street activist), Felicity jones, Allen tannenbaum, the naked cowgirl, etc. Also, there is Phoenix Feeley, shown below, a prominent topfree activist. also, here is an article and pic when she got arrested in NJ.

Some events taking place in NYC that you may not have heard of include the contrast art show, sl*twalk (an event occurring in many cities to promote an awareness of sexual violence, etc), and the Village Halloween Party. Andy Golub's name is associated with the latter as I think he does bodypainting there.

and finally, three more pics that may be new to OCC. The first is a pic of Moira Johnston getting arrested. her activities have been well documented and I gather that some in the NYPD were clueless about the law but wanting to take some action. The second pic is from a go topless protest in central park. The third is of a top free photographer or paparazzi according to the article that went with the pic. I think that that is Bill Cosby facing her!

Ok, the woman in the last pic above is Holly van Voast, a photographer and paparazzi who has appeared topless in public many times in NYC. Pics of her appear in the occupy wall street protests. She was also arrested for going topless at a cathedral in NYC. Here are more pics of her..

here's an interesting question: Would Miss Liberty if she were around today be a top free activist, baring her breasts for all to see? I might be inclined to say yes. An early feminist icon, the yearning for freedom is in her blood. Yes, if you can get naked here, you can get naked anywhere. Thats the theme of this thread!! I'm glad I found this pic! Perhaps she was the inspiration for all that have followed..

and now we have a controversy involving Erica Simone, the Bare NY Citizen, and Zappos Shoe Co. The latter, it seemed, embarked on an unusual ad campaign in which naked new yorkers were photographed jogging through the streets of Manhattan. Here are some pics, censored:

Erica Simone claimed that Zappos ripped off her work. She even took them to court. Now I haven't seen enough pics from these two sources to be able to say there is a similarity great enough to warrant copyright infringement, but apparently, the judges did not rule in Emile's favor.
