kayser05 and others who might be tempted to agree: Second clause in quote absotively right on, but first is nonononono! Why?

1) No more, as here (and FF, Fremont Solstice, WNBR and too many obscure fests to name), painting pictures

2) Much as I disagree with the concept as applied to actual pharmacologicals, paint at these events may be considered a "gateway drug" to full(er) nudity

3) that notion may be enhanced when, as with flickr user malecution referenced here, you provide a noodge, literally as well as figuratively, with your own muse/model (on the right in the example) - note that any trace of disapproval or even outrage, which may be seen in previous pictures of the two on the left, is quite absent here

4) Pseudo-hipsters in their Subarus could then sport yet another tedious bumpersticker: "When paints are outlawed, only outlaws will paint"!

The paintings are nice, I just would prefer them being fully nude...

without paint, the number of topless women at OCF would decrease 80% IMHO.

I normally approach people and ask to take their picture. At OCF when I approach someone who is painted, they are pleased to show off their art and I'm one of many people who have asked. The answer is usually yes. When I approach most topless women who are not painted I get a strange look that silently asks why would you want to take my picture? More say no. It's just the way it is at the fair, aside from the few true exhibitionists who use the fair as a place to go topfree.

If I ever make it to the OCF I'm never leaving the body painting booth.

You might be asked to leave (especially if you are holding a camera..)

Another question - do women specifically ask for certain types of paint jobs i.e ones where the nipples are painted a certain color, or are not painted at all. Do the ask for full cover, light cover, etc. I suspect each woman is different in part because their breasts are different.

I've harped on it before, but it "bares" repeating here, too: keep checking back! These more recently uploaded from the same flickr user as my previous post; the second demonstrates one of my picked nits with OCF: the nudity ban. Of course, the upside is that circumventing it yields the sort of flashes that some here might find appealing...what else do I "pick" on regarding events of this sort? Black snot!
