Yep. She sang naked, but I believe she was behind a screen. Incredibly beautiful woman...who apparently doesn't age (she's now 63, and looks like she's in her mid 30's). Pretty sure she's a vampire. It fits the rock star lifestyle.

There are. One of the Go Gos documentaries shows 4 or 5 of those polaroids (each of the girls is "giving birth" to Jane). Can't remember which one, but I think it's on YouTube.

I've always thought that Susanna Hoffs is the prettiest human female I've ever seen. She is my idea of Helen of Troy. She is utterly flawless and ageless.

The two things that immediately come to mind when I hear the name Susanna Hoffs (GIFs). Aside from Walk Like an Egyptian, I don't think I could recognize another one of her songs, but I'll never forget that hair, those eyes...and the underwear.

A bit off topic, but this is probably what the real Helen of Troy would have looked like (assuming she actually existed). If you're lucky enough to find an unedited version of the documentary; Helen of Troy, presented by historian Bettany Hughes (a pretty fair Helen herself, at one time), you can see this model/actress topless. It's a very interesting program.

If you Google around, you can actually hear her talking about it in an interview. I think it gets asked fairly frequently when the song is being discussed and Hoffs is always amusingly mortified. From what I remember a mischievous producer told her a story about another performer (could have been male or female) getting the right level of vulnerability for a song by performing it nude and suggested it to Hoffs, who did it, too. In all honesty, the story isn't a surprise at all since Hoffs seems pretty open-minded and fun loving. And I'm going with "Witch" for people speculating on how she continues to look so great.

The performer was Olivia Newton John. Susanna's producer told her that she gave her best performances while in the nude. As to her ageless beauty. It's possible that she periodically bathes herself in the blood of slaughtered virgins, like Elizabeth Bathory...or Christie Brinkley.

My definition of Naked seems to be different from the images in this thread with a few exceptions. I always thought it was with out any clothes on.

Cyndi Lauper has also said she was nude when she recorded “She-Bop.”

All things considered, I'd be willing to bet she wasn't just nude when she recorded that song. Considering the lyrics to that song are about female masturbation, wouldn't surprise me one bit if she was "doubleclicking her mouse" at the time too.

This is the only issue of Rolling Stone that I ever bought, and it was mostly because of Jane. I saw it on the magazine rack at a local grocery store and actually did a double take. It was pretty risque at the time.

That is an amazingly clear shot, and I have never seen it before. There was a quote by Jane about whether she would pose for Playbody, and she had said something like, "absolutely. All Hugh Hefner has to do is name a time and place and provide a bottle of wine." Something like that. And apparently, he never took her up on it -- which is infuriating.

Hefner should have done a spread of the entire group (I would have liked to have seen Kathy Valentine, just as much as Jane). I get the feeling that back in the day, if you wrote to Jane and asked her for a nude photo, she'd probably have sent you one. She may even send you one today. Here's some behind the scenes photos of the Go-Go's famous PETA ad. In the video (I believe it's on YouTube), the banner gets pulled aside and you can see that they were topless, but wearing panties.

Related note, I'm a musician & I used to jam with a guy who said that he'd run into Jane at some club in NYC (not CBGBs, just putting that out there). He could have been completely horseshitting me, but the way the story goes, she was by herself, at some point he made eye contact with her, went over & introduced himself & was the only one who'd recognized her, then they started talking guitars. Again, this may be bullshit, but supposedly while they were chatting (with their faces close together so they could hear over the music), he said something she took a liking to and (his words) "she purred directly in my ear & then kissed me square on the mouth".

Now, let's be realistic, most guys who say they've had a close, intimate encounter with a woman, much less a famous one, they shoot for the stars & they've all banged them. I myself am guilty of this (saw Rockb*tch twice in May 2001 in Germany, got to go backstage & "have some fun" with Nikki their keyboardist), but the difference between my story & most of the others out there is that I have a picture of me & Nikki. OTOH, this was pretty tame (sexy, but tame), and I never knew the guy to lie to me, so this may very well be true as well. But who knows?

That's interesting, because I lived in Seattle from 1995-1998 and again from 2001 to 2007, went to see a lot of shows, and I never once saw anything like that. In fact, I attended UW my last two years up there, and even though I knew it existed (and lived literally 3 miles from the route), I was too dense to know anything about how to attend the Solstice Parade. All the bewbs I missed...

I believe your story and this is why: Another writer mentioned that he had seen the GoGo's very early in their careers performing at a punk club. He said that Jane walked up to him and introduced herself as "Jane Drano" and tried to pick him up. I wish I could remember the rest of the story. I think that Jane was just a very rebellious lapsed Catholic girl for a while. I think because she was such an innocent-looking angel-faced babe, she could fly under the radar, getting away with stuff that the more traditional sex bomb rock stars couldn't.

She's better looking at 63, than most women are at 23...and that's no exaggeration. If it wasn't for that scene of her dancing in her underwear in front of the mirror, I'd say she was a vampire. As it stands, the only possible explanations are witch or android.

From what I've heard, Jane was up for anything, as was the rest of the band. There's even supposed to be video of some of their wilder exploits. Today, Jane sells her shoes to foot fetishists, to raise money for animal charities. Carrie Fisher, by her own admission, liked to pick up, and fuck Star Wars fans. Celebrities are human beings, just like the rest of us. In fact, they're quite often weirder. It goes with the territory of being creative.

This band was apparently active around 2013-14 in the San Diego area. I think they were extremely local, and weren't big by any stretch, but they made a splash in the scene by playing nude. And while that's not entirely unheard of in nihilistic punk/hardcore circles, it's in this case notable since 2/3 of the band were young, attractive females.

Despite that, there are surprisingly few pics and video of their actual performances (although there are, sadly, quite a few deleted youtube and flickr links). However, on a road trip to San Francisco, they participated in some Pride weekend festivities wearing their normal performance attire... which is to say a pair of Doc Marten's and a smile.

I'm posting un-watermarked pics here in three parts, and then a off-site link to a zip with watermarked pics and videos. The videos are just okay, though some are better than others. But they help give a good sense of what these full frontal performances looked like.
