I had the pleasure of staying in Byron Bay while I was backpacking a few years back. Stayed just over the road at Holiday Village. Was only supposed to be a stopover on the way from Brisbane to Sydney but after discovering Cheeky Monkeys I was in Byron for almost 3 weeks (Only bad point was arriving after all the hostels had closed and having to spend my first night in the internet cafe, but it was well worth it) :)

Yea I have thought about moving states to be closer to Byron bay, I have seen so many other people with similar stories to yours reactionnz, cheeky monkeys and Byron bay get a hold on travellers, there is so much fun to be had, any other members with similar stories
