If you see the archive in members profile in flickr ..... then you can find the actual number of picture posted by them (containing private as well). Their profile page give less number of picture if there are hidden picture.

Sorry, but that is not how it works. In "archives" you see the exact number of pics that is visible to you and on the profile-page there is exactly this number of pics stated. If you are not more than a follower, then you will in all cases see only the number of public pics. Even if you saw private pics in a group and even if the accont owner sent you a guest pass that let you see a few private pics. The number of pics will only count the publically visible pics.
If someone makes you friend or family you will see more pics (if they have) and both figures (on the archives-page and on the profile-page) will rise. But even then, they will not include the private pics (nor the family pics if your postiton is only friend).
Sometimes there seems to be an exception. This is directly after someone made you friend. It is possible then, that the number of pics given on the profile-page still shows the old figure of only the public pics. Even reloading the page several times does not actualize that figure. But after a while (maybe one or two days) the number given there should be correct.
(technically the flickr pages are really poor. And their databases quite often hang).
I never tried to find out, if the number on the archives-page actualizes directly or at least quicker than that on the profile-page. If that is so, this might be an explanation for the discrepancy you noticed.
