I don't get the parading lark, up and down the shoreline.. scouting for sex?

99% are just strolling the length of the beach and back which is few yards short of a mile each way. The 'Bay of Pigs' where sex may occur during the day is a relatively small length of beach just outside the limits of the 'village naturiste'.
