A report from our recent visit to Cap D'Agde

We wore flip-flops and nothing else all day.
In the evening almost everyone dresses. The men wear regular trousers and shirts unless they are BDSM, gay or exhibitionist. The women wear sexy stuff. Really pervy. Lacy or net clothing, breasts hanging out or showing through. Pussy showing through (no knickers). Bums bare or showing through. As you walk around it's hard to do it all justice, there's just so much to see in every direction.

Almost all the people shave their pubic hair. A few are neatly trimmed, and one or two have extravagant bushes.

Of course there's a big element of exchangiste/libertine (swinger) activity there. The nightclubs seem to be entirely focussed on serving this purpose, very expensive and generally couples-only. Couples who go there do tend to say that they are worth the money.
We did not visit Le Glamour, but it is clearly doing very well - very popular. Heard some complaints that they were not allowing single men in.

The BDSM and gay elements are strong too, though no problem as far as we (or anyone else) were concerned.
In fact the gay section on the beach (informal but obvious) was the most serene and pleasant.
The couples area of the beach was packed with exhibitionists pulling their knobs and shagging for show.
No problem with that either - if you don't want that stuff then simply don't go there.

There are still a fair number of traditional naturists who like to be naked all day, carry a towel with them and are not exhibitionist.
There are nudists who don't quite subscribe to the naturist culture. They dress to walk between their accommodation and the beach, or to walk around the shops. Then when they get to the pool or beach, they strip off.
There are lots with body piercings. Not to our taste, but everyone's different.
There's a fair number of gay males - unintrusive, seem to enjoy the lifestyle there as well as each others' company and are in no way made unwelcome by anyone else. It seems to be very 'gay-friendly'.
The swingers seem to be quite exhibitionist. Again no problem. Rather fun, really.
The hordes of single males who swarm in groups around the exhibitionist couples on the beach are not so attractive!

There are lots of families who generally stay on the campsite and behave beautifully on the beach.

Finally there were a few transgender people (say maybe 2 all week). There is a very tolerant and relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

All sorts of people, all enjoying their holiday in harmony. Lovely.
I would say that we are in the naturist category but enjoy having a good look around!

Beach was excellent, lovely and clean everywhere. In fact the whole place was litter free and very clean, though some parts are tired and tatty now and could do with a full-time gardener as well.

Prices in the shops are reasonable. The coffee is excellent everywhere (unlike in the UK!)

Cap D'Agde is without doubt the best naturist destination in Europe. We enjoyed it immensely and will be back again very soon.

The wife and I have just returned from our first holiday at cap d'agde. We had visited previously as day visitors only when staying in the area with the kids at various camp sites. The kids have left home now, so we decided to try a week at the cap.

And what a week.

The foam parties finished end of august, the weather could be not so nice mid september.

You can but a waterproof container (5euro) for your money / keys etc and hang it around your neck.. it works just fine..

When do they start with the foampartys? Maybe next year we are there end of mai/beginning june. I hope there is a party!

My wife and I are 50 & 46, both slim and reasonably fit. I reckon we were near the top end of the age range, with most of the couples attending in their 20's and all beautiful.

I just came back from Cap d'Agde yesterday, after 17 days of holiday there on the campsite.
It was my 7th consecutive and 8th holiday on the campsite and my 11th holiday (on my own) in Cap d'Agde.
My first impressions, notes this year:
- Yet more young families with small children on the normal nude beach
- Less student type women/girls on the beach
- The campsite still went from 2 stars to 3 stars rating. You pay yet more then last year, but you don't see it directly back in the quality. It's still just a lottery, good luck if you could get good warm showers, especially between +/- 18.30hrs. and 21.00hrs. when everyone is coming back from the beach.
- Numerous young aged swingers couples choosed to go to special couples only resorts like "Terre&Soleil" (not far from Agde, next to swingersclub L'Extasia and restaurant Le Palasia), Ibiza, Fuerteventura, Jamaica and Mexico.
- Besides the normal amount of local voyeurs/pervs and some olderly holiday voyeurs/pervs this year fell on the young guys (+/-18-25 years of age) on the swingerspart.
- The local baywatch at the "poste de secours" and walking along the beach see almost everything, they are on post till 19.00hrs. local time. So don't try to make any footage on the beach when they are on post. In all those years i got almost busted a few times.
- The water in the sea was mainly a few degrees to cold and because of sea fog on one day there was that day a red flag (forbidden to swim in the sea), the yellow flag (you may swim but not to far and look out) and the green flag (safely to swim) shown at the baywatch, never saw this earlier.
- Yet more children and youth (age 6-25) wore swimsuits or went just topless on the beach.
- "Le Tropezienne" in Heliopolis is still the best place for fresh bread, croissants, pain chocolats, cakes, eclairs (my favourite) etc.
- Although you may have a good meal at any restaurant there, the best 2 restaurants are "Le Ghymnos" in Heliopolis and "Le Mississipi" at Port Nature near the beach. Beware of the fact that it can be busy in both restaurants, especially between 20.30hrs. and 22.30hrs. and you have to wait for a table, but it's definately worth that wait. The very friendly boss of Le Mississipi always tell you only "deux minutes", but still you may wait 15-30 minutes. Reservation could also be an option.
- Forget about the kebab fast food restaurant, "Le Snacky" is the best place for snacks, french fries, quick steaks etc.
- The best place for joining a good beer or other drink is the "Johnny Wokkers" pub on the opposite of Le Mississipi. They have Carlsberg, Kronenbourg and Warsteiner beer on tap and because John is from Scotland they have an excellent choice of whiskeys, and all for a reasonable price. If there's something important, like olympics, they have a big flat screen with subtitles switched on. You also make easily contact with friendly (other) couples and the owners John and Jennifer are very friendly.
-On the day you will not see many police, besides some police on horses in the dunes, but if you are looking for police, just go in the late evening/night just outside the Melrose bar, where the girls strip and dance on the bars and you will find all kind of police. (police municipale, police nationale and security) Besides for possible security reasons, those guys for sure like also to see those naked woman.
-They still sel in a few shops all important international newspapers and there are plenty of small shops selling sexy clothing were you may see nice woman trying those clothes.

We went to Cap D'Agde this year for the first and last time.
