I've used the methods above in the past with Firefox when saving Flickr "disabled" photos, but there is a MUCH easier and faster way to bulk download the largest available sizes, page by page, or set by set, using "ImageHost Grabber" add-on for Firefox. You can go page by page and run the add-on and download all the images on that page number, go to the next page, repeat, and so on; or if you prefer to browse by sets/collections, you can run imagehost grabber on those pages as well. The add-on will find and retrieve the largest size the owner has available to view, whether or not "downloading has been disabled" by the owner. [i.e. if the owner has _o, or _k sizes it will find them, otherwise the add-on will retrieve the next smaller size, _b, i believe?]. Below is a screen capture of the IHG as I use it. [I'm not a schill for the author of the add-on, lol, nor am I affiliated in any way with them, I just wanted to share what a useful add-on IHG is, as it works not only on flickr but most image hosting sites like imagevenue, sharenxs, imagebam, etc. that you can read about on the add-on's description page]. IHG is pretty configurable as well, will rename downloads, skip duplicates, etc. http://imagehost-grabber.com/ or https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ehost-grabber/ (the mozilla addons site seem to be a few versions behind, but the author's page is always updated with latest version) |
Don't know if this has been posted but I recommend checking out flickr user "evocateur"
