Just a humble suggestion.

If you lower the saturation a little. You will notice it looks "better".

Nice Job for the first time. (It Took me a couple days before I Felt Confident to post anything. And mine Looked a whole lot worse. Let me tell you. ;) )

You can find a lot of detail in a lot of these pics if you remove most of the color, or all of it. Then you only need to worry about luminance and contrast.

There's so much you can do. A lot of the photos out there seem normal to the average eye. But with a perceptive eye and a talent for Photoshop, you can bring so much more to light.

What I did.
1) Layered * 1.
2) Auto-level layer 1.
3) Merge using luminosity 100%
Repeat steps 1-3.
Layer agian.
4) Reduced Color Noise. 100%
5) Increased saturation on Dress.
6) Lightened shadows 100%.
Merged at normal 50% opacity.
