This year was as warm as 2014, but just felt like less of a party. Nobody in the (running) fountains, hardly anybody dancing. Hard to know why exactly, but I'd put my money on intrusive photography.

I could tell, looking at the snaps I've seen thus far, that it was nowhere near the party of 2014. When, incidentally, there was an all time record turnout of snappers. But on that occasion, most of the riders positively welcomed the attention, in the days before constant brainwashing. I just have to look at the album of my own snaps from that year - smiling, laughing faces everywhere, people dancing, everyone happy.

I'd put my money on constant brainwashing from the feminazis. The snappers among us (not to be confused with the iPhone/point and shoot nuisance pervs) predicted that things would go this way and they have done just that. It's such a shame as Brighton WNBR was once a glorious event of good natured protest and the kind of unrestrained fun the town is well known for.
