Berlin has posted some wonderful shots of the flower headband girl.

Most of my own pics of the ride were either out of focus or with people crossing in front of the lens (London was mad on Saturday with Trooping of the Colour, protest marches, road closures etc). I did manage to get a small number of half decent shots and will post these on flickr as I sort them. Pedro has already kindly copied some of flower headband girl here:

WNBR London flower girl

Leaving aside the eternal snappers/permission/harassment/perv talk, currently working on my London album. Given how bad things could have been, I'm fairly happy with what I got. Waterloo Bridge was the clincher. Any other year and I would be entirely satisfied with what I had on the card at the end of the day. But getting them coming down Piccadilly and into the finish area would have put the icing on the cake - this was easily the best turnout I've seen for London. All the more surprising given how poor Hyde Park was.

As I've said before, if you find anything you like on my Flickr and want to put it on here, feel free. At least the Brighton hypocrites won't be wringing their hands and having a breakdown over it this year :D

Let us all be thankful these rides are not organised by people with this kind of attitude, and that we have a wide range of fresh-faced, enthusiastic, girl-next-door participants who feel able to take part to support a cause they believe in without feeling threatened and objectified, rather than the usual OCC mix of exhibitionists, self-promoters and lifelong nudists jostling for their close-up.
