There is a magazine in Wa. State called Foreplay. It is still going. I am sure the Texas print magazine is still going....Texas Connection. It was so thick a magazine...thousands of ads. Incredible, considering it was the bible belt. Ahh, the memories.

You'd think noone ever got anything done, back before cell phones and the internet. When you responded to a swinger magazine ad, you didn't get their phone number or mail address. You responded to a coded ad. The magazine company would take your reply to the ad and forward it to the responsible party, usually for free, but not always. It took 2-3 wks for a reply back.

Believe it or not, I think more got done then. It's almost too easy nowadays. It's taken for granted.

You are so right, back then things were different, people had to take the time to write and it was better you only got abought 25% of talkers the rest were serious most of the time. When Connexion whent on line the responce to our add whent up a thousand % the only thing was only about 10% of the responces were from real swingers. The rest were just guys who could type on thier keyboard abought things they were never going to do. We got out of there after two months of answering over 800 emails to only have 10 who actually showed up.

Thanks delt and all that contributed to this thread. It sure brings back alot of randy memories from when I was a young buck and had the world by the ballz!

My ex wife and I used to swing a good bit back in the mid/late 80's and were users of the Odyssey(sp) Group magazines. I was purusing all of delt's scans and thought I would surely run across a couple of our ads but alas, no. If anyone can find our ads (appeared in Looking Glass, Selexxion, Connexion and maybe even Cocoa & Creme) I would be absolutely floored and greatful! There were several spreads (one color) that were featured in a centerfold/cover. We advertised out of VA and had a PO box addressed to FNV. We were into the interracial swing scene and all the old pix I had of her she burned in a fit of rage one evening...:mad:
