Yeah, it's definitely a place worth visiting, but I also have mixed feelings about T.E. I have been there once, and it was just an incredible experience. The place is massive, and there are tons of things to try out. My favourite is the indoor/outdoor pool where you can drink weissbier under the stars.

I can't really keep up when there are so many naked people all around me. I don't know how others see it, but personally I can't remember much of what I saw there, because there were simply too many people. Still - definitely worth going and you can easily spend the whole day there. I do like big spas, but this one was was a bit too much for me. I had great time there and I'm sure you'll have too. My favourite German place is the one close to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. It's big, but not too big.

Now this is what happened when I visited a German Sauna for the first time last summer:

I attended a conference at the baltic sea for one week. On wednesday, me and my roommate for this week decided to go to the spa since it was included.
While he went straight to the sauna area, I went to the gym. As I am a bit shy, I went to the indoor pool after that which requires bathing wardrobe. Many families, a somewhat ugly place.
Then I found another colleague of mine there and we decided to go to the sauna area. Best decision ever!

Yeah I know those Videos, unfortunately I don't know where they were made.
But a lot of Spas in Germany/Austria feature those big nude pools.
I never heard of any voyeur being caught filming. There was only this story of a couple trying to film porn and they got caught.

I always try to sit in a spot where you can see people exiting the pool, in the relaxing areas most people are covered up, the saunas are dimmly lit but at the pool exit you can see them in full glory. There are really a huge amount of young beautiful girls in that spa areas.

Good advice.

• If you are naked, then there is the problem of where you hide your phone/camera.
• You are probably physically closer to others and can be more easily seen and caught.
• The owners and staff are probably on the lookout for lone men using phones (assuming phones are allowed in the sauna), they don't want to risk their business reputation by losing (female) customers because pictures end up on the internet.
• If you get caught, where can you run? You are trapped in an enclosed area (not a beach) and you can be easily intercepted before you get to the exit area (your clothes and ID are probably locked in a locker).
• It is clearly a private space where there is an expectation of privacy - probably a crime in most countries. If you don't speak the language, then it's probably going to more difficult with the cops and courts.

It has also become a crime in Germany some years ago, so anybody can do a citizens arrest and hold you for the cops.
