Thanks for posting the clip of the Tribe. I've had to import a copy of the DVD to get a good copy of this scene. I was going to cap it but this clip is better than mine would have been! Now if you can find a copy of Imogen Stubbs in Deadline as good as that, you'd have a friend for life.
The Maeve scene is new to me. Very nice. Please keep posting clips. I've seen all mine before😁

This one took me years to find, it's from a very PC Channel 4 drama from about 35 years ago. It's about the troubles in Northern Ireland and the effect it has on families from the Province.

The other actress manages to keep her nudity hidden alas.

The other actress is Brid Brennan, and she is still working today. You do actually see her breast as she rises from the bath, but sadly that is as far as she got when it came to nudity. Mary seems to of retired from acting after 1988. Both also appeared in 3 Play For Today dramas together. The drama itself is called Maeve, and was broadcast in 1981. Thanks for uploading it.

Actually, if I recall rightly it may of been somewhat different. I remember reading a interview Anna did for The Sun newspaper after she left Brookside in 1995. She had done a photo shoot that involved her wearing a bowler hat and suspenders (like cabaret), but in it I recall her saying how she had received a number of scripts sent her that all involved nudity in it, but she turned them down, as she didn't want to do nudity after leaving Brookside to advance her career. However, after saying this, I only recall her appearing in Cadfael and didn't work on screen again for the next 2 years! It was only when she relented on her stance on nudity that she got work again, and her first role she got was in The Tribe. Hope this helps.

Thanks, the article I remember was the pre release publicity for The Tribe and she mentions the shock of walking on set and seeing her two male co stars fully nude for the first time, as they had remained mostly clothed in the rehearsals.

Big Women - Channel 4 1998

Although a well known clip, I'm sure there will be some who don't know this scene...possibly the best TV nude scene of all time!

Why do I make this claim?
1) Four ladies cavorting in decent lighting fully nude, with no attempt to hide their nudity.
2) All four (Daniella Nardini, Anastasia Hille, Annabelle Apison and Clare Holman) are very well known actresses who careers have endured and in some cases, flourished since 1998.

I've since read that Annabelle (the larger lady, with the wonderful wobbly bottom) is a naturist and always takes her holidays at nude resorts. I doubt if the others share her enthusiasm, but certainly join in the fun with abandon in this clip!

Two top actresses again and both fully nude!

Just a shame the scene is shot at night. Rachel Stirling (daughter of Dame Diana Rigg) and Rosamund Pike are the two ladies, both very respected and very busy actors. With modern TV versions of DH Lawrence books leaving out much of the nudity we enjoyed in earlier times, this recent BBC version (I think) keeps up the tradition!

Documentaries on Nudity from UK TV

Over the years, British TV has made several programmes where members of the public talk about their views on nudity and bodies, whilst being filmed naked themselves.

These two clips (collected from long dead sites) are a good example. I really love the four young 'Horse Riders' (people were put into groups for this show, with something in common) who seem very at ease with being nude in front of millions of people! Now, they must be well into middle age, wonder what they think now!

Warning, 'nakedness' has no sound and features quite a few naked men.
