Found yet another nomination I'd forgotten about:

Miss Rebecca Tucker, the hapless shoplifter from Exeter, England.

Basically in December 2006 she figured it would be a good idea to steal 3 legs of lamb from here local Sommerfield supermarket. Unfortunately she was spotted and a security guard and the store manager gave chase.

The eventually caught up with her as she tried to clamber of a fence to get away. However as she climbed over the fence her trousers got caught up giving the manager and guard time to catch up with her. In her desperation to get away she attempted to remove her trousers (probably with the intention of unhooking them and putting them back on) only to be finally caught and and find herself sitting bare ass on the fence (turns out she was wearing no knickers) until the cops turned up.

Now that would probably have been the end of it except for maybe a mention in the local newspaper, however a guy in a house near the incident decided to take a couple of sneaky photos, and then sell them to the countries biggest selling daily tabloid paper, The Sun.

The pictures then did the rounds of the other national newspapers and (the one where you cannot see her face) was even featured on BBC topical comedy news quiz "Have I Got News For You". The story still features on many websites 4 years later http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ticle74187.ece

Ontop of this the above photograph also shows up on the first page of Google picture search when you type her name into that search engine. You can't see her face in it but a more specific search brings up the below photograph where people who know her or perhaps a potential employer could recognize her from...

:) Another classic that I had forgotten. This pic has always seemed a little "to good to be true" to me, but having recently got a new camera phone (only 8 years after everybody else...) I did manage to email a photo to someone within 5 seconds of taking it so I guess it's pretty easy to take such photos these days and get them out there before the victim even has chance to react.

Some of you I am sure will already know the website hxxp://www.naked-people.de/. Well this young woman thought it would be a good career move to pose on this, frankly innocent, art project website. She even went as far as to record a song and video of herself playing naked behind her guitar and posted a statement on her website (hxxp://www.lena-sings.de/) explaining why she got involved with it.

Then a few month later she changed her mind and her picture disappeared from the site...

Unfortunately for her the pic, like I am sure all the female models on the site, had already been downloaded and reposted on websites/forums all over the world and I am sure will be in circulation for years to come.

Four years ago, a British couple called Stuart and Karla who planned to climb all 284 munros, that's mountains over 914 metres high apparently, in Scotland completely in the nude.

The site featured, probably without their consent, in a free British newspaper called the Metro with a daily circulation of over 1,000,000 copies. Not surprisingly many people saw the story and visited the site. Making this message appear:

"Bandwidth Limit Exceeded: The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later."

Then the next day the couple realize why they suddenly got so many hits:

"Due to excessive media interest we have decided to temporarily close down the page until further notice. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us in our endeavors and have appreciated our reasons for doing it. We look forward to seeing you all again at some point in the future."

And the site never reopened.

Guess they got cold feet when they realized that their little bit of internet exhibitionism was suddenly been seen by tens of thousands of people (possibly including their friends, families and workmates) rather than the odd person who would have stumbled upon it by chance.

Haha, that's a great story. I'd bet that all their coworkers were sharing the link behind their backs the very next day.
