London, UK - I've just been to Oreet Ashery's Party For Freedom. Someone has already posted a Vimeo link to the trailer in another thread.

It's listed as running until 22 June - the website with details/event listings is here but I think there is only one more actual "party" event, most of it looks like debates.

The event started off just like a regular party (effectively it is, the host has invited the performers and is otherwise unaffiliated with them) Then the performers appear. Three male, four female, carrying boxes and equipment which they proceed to set up regardless of where people happen to be standing and talking. Straight away all the women get topless, while they are still setting up. Two of them in particular are very young and attractive.

After everything is set up (there was a screen, a projector, a rubber dinghy, a bubble machine, and chairs have been put out for the guests, making it more like a regular "theatre" type performance), they start taking off their shoes and socks. And pants. Eventually 6 of the performers are naked (one of the men stays dressed throughout). They casually walk among the audience members, handing out a camcorder, a digital camera and a torch (no other photography is permitted). One of the male performers is a bit touchy-feely with the audience, making them hold hands with each other and lying in a (male) spectator's lap. The female performers are touchy-feely with their fellow performers but apart from occasional glancing brushes against their body as they moved among us, there was no significant physical contact.

None of the performers are the slightest bit modest about any part of their bodies (except the dressed dude). The room is mostly dark but there is light from the projector, from coloured lights placed by the performers, and the aforementioned torch which we are allowed to shine wherever we want!

They do little dances and set-piece performance art through the evening. They lie entwined with each other in the dinghy. They wrestle each other, limbs akimbo, one of the girls lay on the floor repeatedly raising her legs in the air, one of the guys stood in front of the projector so the shadow of his dangling scrotum played on the big screen. One set piece involved one of the women with a banana in her mouth and the other end (I didn't have a good enough view for specifics), with a sparkler stuck in each banana. While everyone else blew party blowers.

Sometimes they involved the audience. They invited a guy into what looked like a group cuddle (with 2 naked girls and one of the guys) but then wrapped him in a carpet and kidnapped him. They then invited the rest of the audience to buy his freedom with their own clothes. Most of us gave up our shoes, a handful went as far as trousers, two male audience members got fully naked. The lady spectators were naturally more modest, but two stripped down to bras, one (gorgeous) gave up her tights, and one older lady went topless, though it turned out she was part of the organisation that helped fund the project.

Occasionally the performers faded into the background and the films took prominence - lots of nudity in those, involving different performers. There was a scene involving rimming. Most of it was just weird imagery with a reassuring voiceover explaining various concepts related to "the message" of the project. Towards the end, the performers all dressed and it was just video, explaining how the freedom of sexuality and nudity and artistic vision has been repressed in different ways. At the end they packed up and were out of there very quickly, one or two people got a quick chat with them but there was no after-show mingling.

Of course when the lights came on some of the audience members were still in a state of undress. The tights girl had a short skirt on but didn't seem to mind displaying her pink underwear as she pulled her tights back on.

I must say it was a great way to spend an evening, the young brunette performer (Alice) was stunning and spent much of the evening within an arms length of me, totally nude. The young blonde performer (Elizabeth) was also gorgeous. I can say that having inspected every inch of them both. They were both so at ease being naked in front of so many people staring at them - as were all the performers. There was plenty of humour in the performance, and I have some sympathy for the more serious aspect of their message, so it was enjoyable as a piece of art in its own right. But beautiful female nudity + audience participation just presses all the right buttons for me. Absolutely amazing 2 hours.

Annabel Scholey is nude in Passion Play at Duke of York's in what is described by a reviewer as "some of the most gratuitous stage nudity I’ve seen for a long time". However bear in mind the reviewer is gay.

Chicago - National Pastime Theatre has a series of events under the banner "Naked July" throughout July 2013.

There are opportunities to participate in Living Canvas and Le Chat Noir.

(I cannot find the original OCC posts about Living Canvas - possibly deleted when Dalquaz left? But believe me it is fantastic)

Last weekend there was more nudity at London’s Almeida Theatre. This time is was in ‘Big Hits’ by the GETINTHEBACKOFTHEVAN performance company. Probably more performance art than would normally be at that venue it’s kind of a commentary on shows like Pop Idol and the X Factor. About two thirds of the way through one of the performers Lucy McCormick bares a breast and licks her nipple. She will later go on to spank herself on her bare behind so hard that it leaves a deep red mark and finally spends several minutes crouched down on her knees with her buttocks splayed giving the audience a clear view of her anus and pussy lips. I have to say this was a surprise as I booked the show because the Almeida is air conditioned and I thought the poster looked like it could be a laugh (which it is in parts). Non UK readers may be surprised why air conditioning is important but we’ve had our first hot summer for years. If I had done my homework beforehand I would have realised that Lucy is a collaborator with the The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein and I had seen her in the marvellous ‘Splat!’ show and was therefore bound to show some flesh.

‘Big Hits’ is on tour so you can test your theatre critic credentials at the following:
18 September : L1 DanceFest, Budupest
26 -27 September: YEAHYEAHYEAH, Rote Fabrik, Zurich
10-11 October: Warwick Arts Centre, UK
23 October: The Wickham Theatre, Bristol, UK
7 November: Aberystwyth Art Centre, UK

For the sod the art let’s perve fraternity this is one to get to the front row for. Lucy is the blonde in the photos. The girl in the rabbit suit is Jennifer Pick.

FasXhion Risk or The AcXcidental Nudist

Sadly not upcoming, and appears to have been completely sold out through its entire run, is the show with the name above which was at the Minneapolis Fringe. The show is a story about the childhood of the protagonist, NatXalie Wass, who grew up in England with nudist parents. Her parents appear naked in the show, as do 11 other actors, the vast majority of whom are women. They stand around naked, illustrating the concept of nudism, or else dance about naked, or do more or less everything in the buff in the background.

One of the 11 actors is a woman named KXate Hoff, who also happens to be the main reviewer for the Twin Cities Daily Planet newspaper. She wrote a rather excellent blog about what it was like, rehearsing and appearing, which can be found here (remove X's):

hxxp://www.tcdailyplanet.net/blog/kXate-hoff/appearing-live-and-naXked-fasXhion-risk-or-acXcidental-nXudist-my-first-minnesota-fringe-

I love the detail she goes into discussing her body type, hangups and so on.

Sadly, of course, this is theater, which means that nobody who wasn't there will ever see any of it.

If you’re very quick you might still be able to get a ticket for ‘Hysteria’ at the Hampstead Theatre, London. This is based on an imaginary meeting between Sigmund Freud and Salvador Dali. Excellent play, brilliant cast, very funny and of course for this site some nudity at the end. The main female character Lydia Wilson has some carefully staged implied nudity but remains covered at times. The actual nudity is provided by the ‘figments’ of Freud’s imagination. The most spectacular of which is the delightful form of Victoria Doyle. Victoria is a model rather than actress and has the most splendidly perky breasts. A quick scan round the net will find some pictures of Victoria and I would particularly recommend your search for ‘Moorish Nudes by Gregory Brown & John Evans’ in the UK Blurb site. You can’t download but can view full screen. Three rather more mature nudes feature in a glass box including the model Alex B who also has quite a web presence.

The Hampstead theatre is relatively small with good sight lines, comfy seats and plenty of legroom. For best view of Victoria I would recommend sitting to the right hand side of the seating (higher numbers). Lovers of a shapely rear may prefer a lower numbered seat.

Hope it comes to New York, and not just for the nudity. I've seen several plays on the topic of imaginary meetings: "Copenhagen" and "Freud’s Last Session". Both were very good.

There's a new stage show in NYC called Intimacy. It opened on 1/14 and has been dubbed "New York’s Naughtiest Show".

Supposedly features "tons" of sex and nudity - including erections, a graphic footjob, and a "did they or didn't they" moment about ejaculating semen.

A couple early reviews:
thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/01/18/new-york-s-naughtiest-show-maybe-avoid-the-front-row.html
broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1068414&mobile=on#4503117
"I am totally anti-censorship, but some of this stuff really crossed into what could possibly be considered porn. I cannot swear to it based on where my seat was, but I think someone actually got his c**k sucked for a few seconds."

Sounds really interesting! Wish I was able to go. Anyone in NYC can attend?

I couldn't let this one go. There are plenty of searchable images of this event but a lot of them are watermarked. So far as I can tell, these ones are not, so here you are, a flavour of what I saw! (the pictures were not taken at the same venue as I attended).

Did she appear confident or perhaps a bit nervous and self conscious? It obviously took a lot of courage for her to appear nude and I wonder how this came about. Did she know from the start that this was a requirement or was it something that was 'developed' during rehearsals? Maybe working with actresses BC and SR who both have nudity on their CVs helped. Alas she doesn't appear to have given any interviews where these matters are discussed.

Emily Berrington, who's naked shaved pussy was just metres in front of my face, now has a guest starring role in the new series of 24: Live Another Day!

She's come a long way in a short time, my Emily :)

Indeed there was. 4 women went full frontal, 3 more topless (the prettier ones), and just one full-frontal guy. Someone posted it was like the closing scene in Hair. Sadly it was a one-off performance and I don't know if it was filmed.

The Spill Festival in general is a nudity hotspot, if you randomly pick 10 events, 7 of them will involve nudity, it seems to be a requirement for contemporary performance art. But it is both men and women, more or less evenly from what I saw in a day and a half. It's in London next year.

Heads up for a new production in the south of the UK with nudity in the final scene.

Way Upstream by Alan Ayckbourne is at the Chichester Festival Theatre from April 23 to May 16. The play takes place entirely on a river boat, the final scene has a m and f strip off in front of each other, before leaping off the boat. Search YouTube by the title and a whole TV version of this play from a few years ago, is there. Go to the end of part 8 of 8 to see a very nice ff nude flash of the girl.

No news on the actress who will have to get naked in the new play.

A wonderful production is occurring at the Vault Festival under London’s Waterloo station. ‘Liberation’ is performed by three female and two male actors with full frontal nudity throughout. The women are all young and attractive. Details can be found at

hxxp://www.vaultfestival.com/project/liberation/

The venue is quite small with maybe 80 raked seats. If you are in the front row it’s likely you will get splattered with paint. It lasts around 45 minutes and just be patient as the first few minutes is typical performance art misery with squeaky music, low lighting and a single actor twitching on the ground. However, it then morphs into something very special. Towards the end are two dance duets. The first duet features Giorgio Borghes and Laura Becker and the second pair being Jessica Rose Boyd and Lily Levin. This final duet is the highlight and is I think the most playful and sensual example of stage nudity I’ve been lucky enough to witness. Not one for anybody looking for sleaze or anything overtly sexually explicit but it is rather lovely.

The Venue is a little tricky to find so give yourself time to find and get to the front of the queue if you want to bag a good seat as they are unreserved. I would recommend the front but don’t wear your best clothes or higher up but close to the centre aisle. I would think if you are at the far end of a row you will struggle to see all the action. The theatre company of produced a short vimeo reel viewable from the website above. The Asian girl featured in that is a member of the company but was not performing. The show is way better than the film.

Thanks for the tip-off that was a great show! I always see these things on Vimeo (from places like Austria or Switzerland) and wish I could have gone to see them live so it is nice to be ahead of the curve. Got a front row seat, didn't get splattered, some nice views! The performance was officially filmed so it could well end up on Vimeo too... look out for it!

Thanks for the excellent response to my post on ‘Liberation’. I’m pleased that those that were lucky enough to attend seem to enjoy too. I went back for a second helping on the last night and can confirm that filming was taking place again so we can only hope that it emerges on line at some point.

Now for news of something at the more challenging end of the spectrum of theatre nudity. Getinthebackofthevan Theatre Company (mentioned before in this thread) has a show at London’s Soho Theatre coming up called ‘Number 1, The Plaza. Running from Tue 31 Mar - Sun 12 Apr.

Details can be found here:

Full frontal nudity is promised and the production photos in the site show a hint of pubes. However, I would caution you to check out some reviews before deciding whether to see as this looks like one for the performance art fan rather than a casual fan of naked actresses.

I saw this show last year, Lucy McCormick gets nude in pretty much all their shows including this one, the other girl does not. It is a funny observational and surrealist study on the relationship of two different women sharing a flat. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I liked it.

Wow, £5 for ff nudity of a cute blonde, bargain of the year!

Which show are you referring to?
Tickets to Liberation were £16.50 (3 beautiful young women - 1 blonde - full frontal)
Tickets to Number 1 the Plaza are from £10 (1 good looking blonde full frontal)
Tickets to Steakhouse Live were only £5 but there were no full-frontal blondes (though there was a 20-minute fully naked dance from a stunningly beautiful black woman). Lu*cy Mc*Cormick performed but this time kept her kit on.

It was the last one on your list, cheap whatever the show. My local theatre charges £28 a seat, for the cheapest ones, nudity occurs about once every couple of years at best too!
