Here are three again - I recropped them. Brolla, that blue girl you like was my "best guess" Torretxt. The whole day, i did not know which girl was her, so I just kept snapping pics. Later, I looked at my pics of that girl, and in every one she seemed to be looking at me. So, I said, that must be Torretxt!

It looks like some people do forget, or are at least very comfortable. What was the scene like at Gaslight Park? How long was it before your husband found you? Congratulations, you are brave and beautiful.

Did I ever get past my awareness of being nude? In a word - "no". I thought that as time passed I would get more comfortable but truth be told I really never did. All it would take was someone looking at me smiling, or a gust of wind, the sound of clapping or laughter, seeing ordinary sights like a street corner with a recognizable business on it - any of those things would instantly remind me that I was unclothed in a place I wasn't supposed to be. It wasn't like I was at a party at somebody's house, I was out on a public street. Of course the fact that this was the first time I had ever done anything like this probably contruibuted to the fact that I was very aware of my body.

Many people did seem quite comfortable; much more so than me. People did say I looked calm both at the parade and after seeing some of my photos here at OCC. It was all an act, trust me.

How long did I roam around at gaslight park before my husband found me/ Not really sure but I'm guessing maybe 45 minutes to an hour. That was really the hardest thing for me because I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do - get dressed or was it okay to remain naked. It seemed like a totally different world to me. THe fact tha many people got dressed right away made me feel that I was supposed to do the same. I worried that I might get into trouble if I didn't. People did come up and talk to me or my friends about the parade which not only was exciting in a way but that also helped take my mind off my worries.

I read the article and am disappointed, but not totally surprised. They said that someone from Arizona was walking around downtown nude. That was a stupid thing to do, because that is exactly the kind of thing that folks will point to and say - "look, its spreading! People are coming here from all over the country to get naked!"

But the vote was close, only 3-2, and hopefully it will be reversed at some point. stay tuned...

Was Brattleboro (?) the only city where nudity used to be allowed, or just the most famous? I had heard that San Francisco had no rule against nudity? How do nude bike-rides work, is it somehow legal at an official nude bike ride, but not on the same street at another time? It is unfortunate that these things always seem to be so unclear, that there is no place (that I know of) where it is clearly defined.

I think there are many other places were nudity per se is not illegal. Mostly in Vermont, San Fran, places like that.

and the Fremont district of Seattle every June 16th :)

nudity laws and especially their enforcement or non enforcement is complex and variable - I'd rather just sit back and appreciate it when it comes my way :)

Regarding public nudity, way back when, in the era of free love, nudity was common in many public parks,
concert venues, political protests etc. The local folks barely noticed. I remember seeing people bathing in
the fountain between SF's library and city hall. Nobody cared. However, when the folks in Wichita and
Cleveland read about it, they wrote their congressmen angry letters. I've always been mystified about the
connection between the sight of a bare butt and the domination of Satan over society.

I'll be posting my complete set of Fremont Parade pics soon down in the free sites section. Here is a preview of approximately what will be in the zips (I've already made note of a few omissions). There will be about 300 pics in all and I've only posted about 75 percent of them in this forum. So there will be many new pics although the best you've seen. fairly new to the forum and LOVE the fremont solstice pics. there's one woman in particular that I can't seem to get enough of. I think 2007 was the year she rode as a USA gymnast. Rode in 2008 as Leeloo. Anyone got any pictures of her as the gymnast?

well, now thats a repeat rider I'm not sure I knew anything about. Good for the tribute thread...

But I don't seem to have any pics of her from 2008. Too bad. I will post if by chance I have any..

I must say, having the plethora of faves I do, your choice is only one of so, so many I favor, but nonetheless: in 1 and 2 she rides; in 3 she (or more appositely, her costume) joins the snows of yesteryear...
