The gang **** happened early Friday morning, not during the run late Friday night. However, the cops probably should have been more concerned about dealing with that than ticketing runners. The fact that Halloween fell on a Friday night is what led to the increased police presence. It probably also led to more runners. I saw the tail end of it (no pun intended), but wasn't able to get there in time to snap pics. Maybe next year.

Missed this vid and now it's deleted by Youtube. Did anyone downloaded this vid? And could he/she upload it on Rapidshare?

I'm a little surprised it was deleted. If you search "naked pumpkin run" on youtube there are currently 35 videos and some were uploaded last year. Here is the one I linked to.

A couple more. Why do all the girls in this run seem to have more or less the same body type? Or are we seeing the same ones over and over again (not likely if only one photographer is involved).

Anyway, the pumpkin head, which assures anonominity, is a great idea. Notice how ALL the women are fully nude.
If faces were visible, I'll bet 50% or more would have been topless only. But as Fango and others have said repeatedly - I need to see a face! So the big question is (and maybe there should be a poll for this) WOULD YOU SACRIFICE A FACE FOR A FULLY NUDE VIEW?. In otherwords, do you prefer topless with a face to faceless but fully nude?

I found a Portland one today; sure hope we unearth somebody who "got out in front" of this story...

The news for this years naked pumpkin run looks like this:

Boulder - not likely to be much going on. Police will be ready and Boulder passed a new anti-nudity ordinance. THe cops say they will not be as strict about things as in the past two years, but they will still ticket. Expect not much of a turnout.

Seattle: Two runs are planned, but you have to attend a secret pumpkin carving party in the morning to find out exactly where the runners will run. The daylight run will take place in Fremont. The nighttime run at Green Lake. Fremont is a pretty small area and I think one could probably show up at noon (the scheduled start) and stumble upon them. There is a statue, for example, that they always seem to include in their route

Portland: According to twitter, Portland's run may have been four days ago. Rats! Missed it again.

excellent contribution, Osreb. From the looks of the pics Crispus posted earlier, it looked like maybe 2 women, five men, same as last year. But your pics show there was an additional fully nude woman, making for one topless and two fully nude. I considered attending this event, and was encouraged to do so by the organizer whom I E-mailed. HOwever, the prospects of maybe only two women running made me utltimately decide not to go (plus the 3 hour drive).

....but.....if any more women turn up in pics, I'm going to wish that maybe I HAD gone...

I like that the runners seem to do a fair amount of standing around. The anonominity offered by the pumpkin makes them comfortable with that, and comfortable with being photographed. The run organizer with whom I spoke said that they where hoping to have this documented, but that photogs should not photograph runners with their pumpkin heads off. From the looks of things, more pics should be forthcoming!

Here are the words that the source posted with the pictures. They were looking for someone to watch there stuff while they ran and so that was maybe a good way to get un-pixelated photos. Of course, if I posted those if there, then they would have known who did it if got around. While the pixelated pics are lame, I wanted to attempt a post anyway and these are what the most current pics look like.

Last night (Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010) brought the 5th annual Naked Pumpkin Run to Green Lake. Eight participants took place in the late night event.

Participants ran the traditional course around areas of Green Lake Park and the east Green Lake business district, including running past Greenlake Bar & Grill, The Little Red Hen, and Starbucks.

The following photos come to us courtesy of Jaybee. They were pixelated in Photoshop by us.

I am looking for Lani Brooke, a local area porn star who was expected to run. I believe that might be her in the second pic, top right.

One would think the nighttime run would get more participants than the daylight run, but consider this - everyone is anonymous anyway because of the pumpkin covering the head, so that nullifies any advantages running at night might have. Also, this time of year, weather might also be an important factor.

If you are right about Ms. Brooke (and based on the picture from mygreenlake.com, where I also got these f/s ones alabamafootball posted, you probably are), then it's clearer from these that she's also at the second left of the swing, the left of the picture by 7100, and the third from left (but mostly obscured) in the running-away shot. Now what we want is to find jaybee's un-Photoshop-pixellated versions...

I really enjoy these pics for a number of reasons. The main reason is that it shows how happy these people are to be photographed. Put a pumpkin on your head, and all your inhibitions go away. Now all we need is a few hundred runners and this would definately be a major stop on my circuit.

Probably not everyone knows this, but those pics above were taken in the Fremont District of Seattle, in exactly the same location/street/etc traveled by the naked cyclists of the Fremont Solstice Parade.

Laws? What laws? Fremont is "the center of the universe" and they make their own laws....

I'm always leery of pictures newly posted from events some time ago; these, though, appearing just days ago at flickr.com/photos/21549339@N06/sets/72157625669455274/ , in what seems to comprise that user's entire photostream, aren't duplicates, at least not here: the first seven from '08, the last three '07.

I'm bumping this for those who may have forgotten all about the NPR. Runs are scheduled for this weekend. I don't have the details, except for this item regarding Seattle:

"The event, which is in its sixth year, begins with a daytime run in Fremont at 11:11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2011.
The Green Lake run is on Halloween night (Monday, October 31), beginning at 9:21 p.m. (21:21 on the 24-hour clock)."

Check facebook, twitter, etc and post anything you find!
