My favorite through is the super cool nudist of Naked News who now has an OnlyFans, OF RoxyOneill You might remember her from Fango's New Years post in 2018, https://vimeo.com/169200217 Sorry for the quality. She posted it to Instagram and I captured it with my phone. |

Anything new on the Portland full moon rides? I think the first one was going to be tonight. Is anyone going to be there? Are there going to be more than a few riders?

A couple tweets confirm that the full moon ride is a big deal this year. Maybe not WNBR sized, but not a small group. Not much to see yet, though.

Still not much to report, but a minor mystery. This tweet almost makes it look like there was a naked ride on Friday the 25th, too. Can that be right? She tweeted this at 8:05 Pacific Time on the 25th and mentioned that it was a 98 degree day. It only got up to about 83 on the 23rd, the day of the Full Moon Ride. I can't find anything else on Twitter or googling, but there are at least 30 people visible in her pic. And a good number of fully-nude women, unlike the few images we've seen so far from the 23rd. But on the 22nd, she tweeted that she would be at the ride on the 23rd, along with a photo from an earlier ride. She also posted a very tame video from the fountain from a few years earlier, maybe 2017 or so: twitter.com/Naked_Therapist/status/1407063609872568334.
So either there were two different rides, or she posted a pic from Wednesday in her Friday post, and was just making an observation that Friday's heat would be even better for riding naked in. I don't have Instagram or TikTok or Snapchat or anything. Does anyone have any connections or sources? ---- In other news, NPR did a story "Participants In Philly's Naked Bike Ride Will Have To Cover Up ... Their Faces" and it's going mildly viral, so even if it's silly politicized stuff, that's some more national publicity. The story says the Philly ride is August 28th. npr.org/2021/06/26/1007735748/participants-in-phillys-naked-bike-ride-will-have-to-cover-up-their-faces |

For anyone who hasn’t seen the pics in the screenshots, they are from tgd1220 and Antwone’s albums, and they both have hundreds more shots from those years and other years, if you go to their albums lists flickr.com/photos/maxwells_demon/albums/72157686416278426 (2017) flickr.com/photos/164754330@N04/albums/72157709437026186/page5 (2019) flickr.com/photos/164754330@N04/albums/72157709437026186/page11 ——— In 2021 news, I found a page with a few pictures so far (watermarked, and none of them are in my screenshots below), but nothing great. Their 2017 pictures are actually pretty good, though. They also say they expect a lot more people to be at the July 23rd ride because it’s a Friday keep-portland-weird.com/2021-world-naked-bike-ride/ |

I was at 2017, that one was good. 2019 not so much (I was at that one too). Were you there? |

Still with 50,000-90,000 riders it's bound to be better than all the other rides with that many people. Although in the past few years the non-profit that runs it intentionally have been keeping the #'s down since it was getting way too big in their opinion. Again, I live there and have been to every one since 2010 so I actually have "eyes on" experience unlike 99.99% of the people here. I'm hoping that when COVID is completely gone it will go back to the way it was before. Not sure though since some female friends of mine were a little weary of creepy guys taking pictures of them. It was always old, white guys too for some reason. Then again Portland is 75% white so that might not be surprising. |

£5 ticket required, meeting place info to riders only.. any guesses ? Not sure their sexist pricing is in line with the inclusive aims of the main ride, though..? |
Not really

Portland’s second naked Full Moon Ride is getting started around now, and if the number of tweets and articles about it is any indication, it should be much bigger than the June one. If anyone’s in Portland, get down to Colonel Summers Park and ride!

"We understand the trepidation to join caused by the reaction of an uneducated minority portion of observers." "mobbing" by some male observers trying to get photos? - killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Perhaps masks will give some people courage. |

Maybe they tried, but it was the only available day
Quote:
Perhaps the organizers did prefer another date, but could not get city permits, or there were other events in that city already booked for Sunday 12th. WNBR rides tend to be (permitted) at the weekend to minimize traffic disruption and allow people of working age to participate. Northern hemisphere rides tend to be in June, early July and early September to allow students to participate and while it is still reliably warm. Only 15-20 days available. There is also the disruption due to Covid-19, according to onmilwaukee.com/articles/world-naked-bike-ride "When Jankowski learned there was not going to be a ride in Madison this year because of COVID-19, he decided to organize a ride in Milwaukee." Some people might find the date insensitive but I don't think any disrespect is intended. |
