All The Way Up (1970)

5 Attachment(s)
Back to films, and this clip comes from the UK film All the Way Up in 1970, and sees the lovely Adrienne Posta fake an accident to trick boss Bill Fraser to take her into his home. It's a nice scene, and naturally Fraser's character has to check out her body for broken bones - including at one time groping her breast! After that he takes her inside - but not before having a cheeky pinch of her bum as they go in!

Up The Front (1972)

7 Attachment(s)
It's Bill Fraser again, and this time he gets to grips with the adorable Madeline Smith (as a maid) in the film Up The Front (1972). He plays a butler called Groping (well, this is Frankie Howerd), and ends up tying her up and stripping her clothing in a scene I've had to slightly edit for dubious dialogue. Indeed, he later gets to pat a brothel girl's bum, so he must of enjoyed his time filming this! In real life he was married to Mrs Fox from Dad's Army and ran a Sweet shop on the side. Meanwhile it was Frankie Howerd who encouraged Madeline Smith to bare the flesh in films, as he told her that "to deny her femininity was against nature" (recounted in TV documentary "Heroes of comedy - Frankie Howerd" by Smith herself). Which makes Howerd even more of a legend than he was before.

Carry on Again Doctor (1969)

5 Attachment(s)
Over the Christmas period, and UK TV reminded me why I set up this thread in the first place when the schedulers broadcast some Carry On films. In the process they decided to decimate them with cuts - such as Carry On Again Doctor from 1969, cutting out the nudity and the iconic scene of Barbara Windsor in her 'Hearts' bikini (which, thankfully, can still be seen in it's uncensored form in the Carry On thread here: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...9&postcount=47). They also bizarrely snipped out the cameo of Steptoe himself (Wilfred Brambell), here playing a 'dirty old man' (who'd of thought it?) with one of the nurses (Elizabeth Knight, who also starred in Carry on Camping - as the pic shows - and sadly passed away in 2016). As the UK censors deemed fit to remove it, here is the scene itself so you can judge just what the fuss is about. And frankly, if the UK censors feel fit to snip scenes like this, what would they do with the likes of Game of Thrones?

Carry on At Your Convenience (1971)

8 Attachment(s)
Another Carry On, and this time it is Carry on At Your Convenience. It may be 'bog standard' compared to other films in the series, and it was the first to bomb at the Box Office, but it still contains three 'pats of appreciation' scenes, and all involving Sid James. Here he gets to apply his 'handiwork' on Joan Sims (twice), and Marianne Stone, who appeared in numerous Carry Ons as a character actress from 1959 to 1974 in the series. She's not done up in the most flattering of get ups here, but I have also included a pic of how she usually looked.

Carry on Cowboy (1965)

7 Attachment(s)
I thought I might as well make it a trio of Carry ons here, so here is Angela Douglas in her sexiest scene in Carry on Cowboy from 1965. Indeed, that costume is too much for one hombre, who gives her bum a playful slap as she does her routine to a rapturous saloon bar. I've included the whole of her costume scenes, as I feel you would appreciate it, and she does only appear like this twice in the film. For the actress herself, she was so nervous about appearing like this, she actually burst into tears in relief when she completed the bar scene! Bless her.

Carry on Henry (1970)

5 Attachment(s)
To finish off the Carry On clips, this is from Carry on Henry from 1970 and sees Peter Gilmore sneaking into the King's Bedchamber (Sid James) to surprise Joan Sims - only to find when he playfully pats her bum playfully it is actually Barbara Windsor's sleeping lady's maid (well, anyone can make a mistake...). What is also surprising in this clip is how see through Babs' top is! Also included is a pic of the fair Babs's pert lovely posterior to show just what Peter Gilmore was getting to grips with. The snap is from Carry on Again Doctor, and the video of that can be found here: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...0&postcount=57

Unknown Italian Film

10 Attachment(s)
Now this film is unusual for me compared to the other clips on here in that I stumbled across this on the internet, rather than seeing it on TV or remembering it from years ago. The film is unknown to me, but it states it is Italian, so if anyone knows what this is from, please let me know. The scene itself involves a maid serving a family at the dinner table, only to find herself groped by the lord of the manor. She can only stand there while the rest of the guests are seemingly oblivious to it all, as the host 'checks out' his maid, eventually pulling down her knickers (Hasn't he remembered what happened to the host in Clue?). At the end of it all, she is left to walk off with her knickers round her ankles - much to her embarrassment.

X Factor Groping

3 Attachment(s)
Another one I came across on the net, this seems to be from the X Factor, and shows Louis Walsh (who I thought was the other way inclined) getting more than a little familiar with Mel B's backside as they conduct an interview. I don't know if he's incredibly brave or has a death wish in touching up Scary Spice's bum, but she is less than impressed and let's him know it too!

Hazell (TV) (1978)

5 Attachment(s)
This is from a TV series called Hazell that ran from 1978-79, written by Gordon Williams and Terry Venables (yes, the footballer). It was a detective series, with Nicholas Ball as the cockney private eye investigating cases, and was a great time capsule of life in the UK in the late 1970's. (It also had a great theme tune by Maggie Bell). This scene is from the 1st series, in an episode called Hazell & The Maltese Vulture, and shows Hazell's cousin Tel getting very hands on with a jitterbugging blonde in a retro café - until her boyfriend steps in, that is. It's not as good a quality picture as I'd like, but I bet Desmond McNamara enjoyed his time filming this. Enjoy.

Love the contribution, as well as that pat of Jane Gurnett's shapely behind. It was also her only nude scene she did in her career, but boy does she throw herself into the role here! She later found fame in Casualty as Rachel Longworth from 1994-1996.

Ten Little Indians (1974)

3 Attachment(s)
I knew this Agatha Christie adaptation as And Then There were None when I first watched this when I was younger, but it's better known as Ten Little Indians. There have been two previous versions of this murder mystery - in 1945 & 1965 - but this is one occasion where a remake betters the original. It helps that it has an all star cast, and that it's leading lady is Elke Sommer, who finds herself down in the basement here when the lights go out. Luckily Oliver Reed is nearby to lend a 'helping hand' and 'prompt' her in the right direction - ie, upstairs. He certainly gives her bum a good slap on the way out!

Evil Under The Sun (1982)

3 Attachment(s)
Another Agatha Christie adaptation, and this from the Peter Ustinov version of Evil Under the Sun from 1982, starring the lovely Jane Birkin. For much of the film she is in dowdy attire, but in this clip you get to see what she looks like dolled up. Her "pat of appreciation" comes from her screen husband Nicholas Clay, prompting her on her way, but be warned: for those who haven't seen the film and don't know who did it, this contains a spoiler...

Good Morning Boys (1937)

3 Attachment(s)
This is going WAY back in the archives to 1937, with one of Britain's greatest stars, Will Hay. In the 1930's and early 40's his films were some of the best to ever come out of the UK, and Good Morning Boys (which this clip is from) was the start of a golden 6 year spell until ill health cut short his career in 1943. In this clip he plays a teacher who is looking to round up his (overage) pupils from a Paris nightclub they have absconded to. As he proceeds to round them up, he starts slapping the backsides of those on barstools, only to accidently slap the bottom of the delightful Lili Palmer (in one of her earliest roles). The dialogue alone is a joy, and a taste of what Hay's comedy was like. "I'm sorry. I didn't know it was yours!" says Hay. Lili's reply is perfect: "Oh, I bet you say that to all the girls." Ironically, Lili was upset at first at being contracted to this film as she wanted to be a serious actress, but they placated her by including a song for her to sing in the film, and it proved to be a star making role. Now as likely to be remembered for being the 2nd Mrs Rex Harrison as much as for her film work.

The Show Goes On (1937)

4 Attachment(s)
Another one from the archives from 1937, and from another Brit who was a huge star in her day, this is a clip from Rochdale lass Gracie Fields' film The Show Goes On. The plot involves our Gracie trying to break into the big time as a showgirl among a host of other eager wannabees. But as this clip shows the director is a hard man to please, and he dismisses one girl with a firm pat of her backside to send her on her way (as you do). As for our Gracie? Well, her persistence wins through (of course) and she wins a part in the show.

Going Straight (1978)

5 Attachment(s)
Moving from the 1930's to a more 'recent' period, this is from Going Straight from 1978, the spin off from the TV classic Porridge (1974-77) starring Ronnie Barker. It followed his release from prison and his attempts to adapt to normal life at home with daughter Ingrid (Patricia Brake) after finding his wife has left him. Although it was nowhere in the same class as Porridge, it still won best comedy in 1979, but was prematurely cut short by co star Richard Beckinsale sudden death from a heart attack at just 31. Here the lovable Beckinsale features here in a clinch with the shapely Patricia, and fully throws himself into the role, judging by the way he fondles the fair Patricia's bottom, until they are interrupted by Barker entering the room. I've also included a photo of how Patricia Brake usually looked back then, plus a photo of what her fine posterior looks like without those jeans from her role in My Lover My Son (1970), the only time she ever performed nude on screen.

Hustle (2010)

3 Attachment(s)
This next video clip is from the UK TV series Hustle, which ran from 2004 to 2012. Have to say, it wasn't a particular favourite of mine, but this clip contains a pre stardom role for Daniel Mays in an episode from 2010 called "Conned Out of Luck." In it he plays an arrogant sleazeball businessman who enjoys the perks of his power by touching up his long suffering secretary (played by Jessica Phillips - not the American). She does, however, get to enjoy his comeuppance by the gang, so at least there is some pay off for her at the end!

Girlfriends (2000)

5 Attachment(s)
I came across parts of this video on You tube, and decided to piece it together so it wasn't just 4 seconds long! It comes from a US TV series called Girlfriends (which ran from 2000 to 2008), and this clip comes from it's 1st series - Episode 11, to be exact - called The Importance of Being Frank. So called because in the episode Tracee Ellis Ross discovers at a party that her boyfriend Frank is actually the host's husband, and needs to lie her way out of this awkward situation. Luckily, in comes unsuspecting Reggie Hayes, who she declares to be her boyfriend, and he decides to take full advantage of it. When the host gets suspicious of Tracee's nervous twitch, he just tells her "Oh, that's her come hither look", before then leading her off with a lovely slap of Tracee's impressive booty. Well, you've got to make the performance convincing, haven't you? I bet Reggie loved his job that day! Oh, and be warned that the sound goes up and down on the video, so to hear the slap you'll need the sound up a bit - just not for the rest of it! Enjoy.

Hi De Hi (1986)

3 Attachment(s)
This is from UK comedy Hi De Hi, which ran from 1980 to 1988, and was a huge hit in it's day. Set in 1959 in a holiday camp, it was where many Brits would go for their holidays when they could only dream of holidaying abroad (the irony isn't lost on me here). Based on Butlin's holiday camps (known as Maplins here), and with yellow coats instead of red, the camp would organize your holiday for you with a series of events to plan you through your day, such as Knobbly Knees Contest, Spaghetti Eating Competitions and the more intriguing competition "That's Your Bum", where the audience had to identify the Yellow Coats bums (not as exciting as it sounds in the show, sadly).

Despite some attractive Yellow Coats during it's run, the only bum patting scene that pops up is in it's 1986 Xmas episode September Song, involving ballroom dancer Diane Holland (who was inundated with fan mail during it's run). Here she has to accept a piggyback from a yokel farmer from her car to the farm and makes the mistake of asking him if she is too heavy for him to carry. "You're as light as a feather," he replies. "Personally I like a woman with a bit of meat round here!" and gives her bum a good hearty patting. Well, she did ask!

Goldfinger (1964)

5 Attachment(s)
In the week that Honor Blackman passed away I thought I'd check out her most famous role in Goldfinger (1964). And as luck would have it, I came across this little scene involving the original Bond (Sean Connery) enjoying a relaxing massage from the shapely Margaret Nolan. When he is interrupted by an associate called Felix, he has a novel way of dismissing her. "Dink, say goodbye to Felix. Man talk", before giving her a hearty slap on the bum to coax her on her way. For Nolan - most famous for her roles in the Carry on series - this was a star making role after starting out as a nude model before breaking into films, and it saw her called upon by Playboy to appear in their magazine on the strength of her appearance here. And as an added bit of trivia (which some on here may know), the gold sprayed girl on the opening credits of the film is ALSO Margaret Nolan and not Shirley Eaton (who ends up painted gold in the film in a famous death scene). Oh, and as an added bonus, I've included a nude booty shot of Nolan to show just what Connery got to deal with in the film. Jammy sod!

Bonanza (1961)

5 Attachment(s)
This is from the TV series Bonanza, which ran from 1959 to 1973, and was one of the biggest shows in America. This clip comes from the episode The Many Faces of Gideon Flinch from 1961, and sees Little Joe (Michael Landon) accuse his new lady friend (played by Sue Ann Langdon) of stealing his wallet in a restaurant. She doesn't take too kindly to it and clouts him one before storming off, but Little Joe doesn't take that lying down and grabs her, slings her over his shoulder and carries her off to the Sherriff's office, giving her bum a good slapping on the way.

As for the actress Langdon, it was one of her earliest roles, having started out in 1959, and her later role in the film A Fine Madness in 1966 (her first nude role) led to her later accepting an offer to appear in Playboy. A nude shot from the film and a booty shot of her from the shoot are included here.

Jumping For Joy (1956)

4 Attachment(s)
This is from the Frankie Howerd film Jumping For Joy in 1956. It involved him becoming a suspect in greyhound doping, and in this scene he has ended up in hoodlum Tony Wright's bar being hustled by his gorgeous moll Barbara Archer at snooker. However, Tony has had orders to let Howerd win, so tells his moll to throw the game, and when she proves reluctant he has to give her a firm slap on the bum to let her know who's boss. Mind you, considering how badly Frankie plays, it's not going to be easy! As for Barbara Archer, this was her first significant role after starting out in 1954, and won the part of Matron in Jimmy Edwards' TV series Whacko! in 1956 because of it. She retired from acting in 1968, but she is now most famous for the role of Inga in Dracula in 1958. Obligatory booty pic is included to show what Tony got to grips with. Lucky fella.

Spanish show TNT (2004)

9 Attachment(s)
This is from Spanish TV show TNT, something I hadn't heard of until I came across MortalFool's post in the photos section of Movie & TV EUFs thread yesterday and decided to check out the You tube video link to it. Having watched it, I had to include it here, which will become obvious when you see the video.

The show's episode was broadcast 5 August 2004 and involved Marta Torne (before she went into acting) appearing on the show dressed as a cop to interview porn star Nacho Vidal, which included a few whacks with her whip. However, the tables are turned in gloriously unscripted style when Nacho decides she should be spanked too. The look on her face when she sees he is serious is a treat, as are her mortified cries when he tucks her under his arm, puts her over his knee and smacks her bum. She probably didn't expect the good groping he got in either(hence why I've included it here), but worse is to come for her when he then decides to pull up her skirt, briefly exposing her bum to the live audience, who cheer him on in delight! Needless to say, she is NOT a happy bunny and after whacking him with her whip she escapes off stage.

As well as the screenshots (and I wish the "exposure" pic was a bit clearer), I've also included a pic of Marta without her shades, plus a booty pic of her, which I thought you might appreciate. The link to MortalFool's original post is here: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...&postcount=850. It also included a couple of brief interview excerpts from dlammy that Marta herself gave when asked by interviewers about that memorable moment, and needless to say she found it all rather embarrassing. However, the joy of live TV is that once it happens, you can never shout "Cut!" and record it again. It's all on film for posterity - as was her posterior!

Neighbours Cody (1995)

4 Attachment(s)
This week's video is - believe it or not - from that Aussie daytime soap Neighbours from 1995. I don't know the episode number, but it's believed to of been broadcast around April in the UK, and involves character Rick Alezzi taking Cody Willis (played by Peta Brady) to a school dance. Peta was the 2nd actress to play the role after Amelia Frid, and was already 20 years old when she took on the role in 1994 (well, put it this way, no teenager would have a voice like that!). In this scene, Rick gets rather too hands on with Cody as they waltz about the dance floor, but she laughingly removes his hand from her bum before continuing their dance. Sweet.

Neighbours Lara (2005)

5 Attachment(s)
Another Neighbours clip, and this comes from October 2005 in the UK (Episode 4771, to be exact). Usually, the videos involve men patting or pinching girls bums, but in this clip it involves a woman, as Marcello Russo gives Lara Sacher a couple of sneaky pats as her family surprise her by having cleaned the house for her. Dubiously, Marcello is playing Lara's mother in this, but who can blame her when Lara looks as cute as this? I've included a photo of Lara's bum with this, as well as a sexy clip of her from another episode in just her underwear having had a dip in the lake - for "completeness sake", you understand...

Mutiny on the Buses (1972)

9 Attachment(s)
On the Buses was a hugely successful UK TV series from 1969 to 1974, detailing the love lives of randy bus drivers Stan Butler and Jack Harper (played by Reg Varney & Bob Grant) while avoiding the glare of their boss Blakey. So successful were they that they spawned 3 films in the early 70's, yet despite the saucy humour, the only time (in the film, that is) that either one comes close to laying a hand on a woman's bum is in this scene from the 2nd film, Mutiny on the Buses in 1972. Here Stan & Jack use a fire drill as an excuse to burst into the female 'clippies' (bus conductress) changing room, leading to Stan performing a fireman's lift on his girlfriend (played by Janet Mahoney) and giving a good excuse to get to grips with her bum! And nearly all of the clippies are in their underwear, so a bonus to boot!

Last of the Summer Wine (1973)

5 Attachment(s)
This clip comes from the longest running UK TV comedy in history Last of the Summer Wine, which ran from 1973 to 2010. And before anybody starts running for the hills visualizing scenes of Compo chasing Nora Batty or Ivy from the café, this actually involves the lovely Margaret Nolan from it's very 1st season in 1973 in an episode called Pate and Chips. Indeed, the voluptuous Margaret is on the end of at least 3 pats of her bum by her screen hubby Tony Haygarth, who shows just how northern folk display their affection to their other half. If the video looks slightly 'zoomed' at times, it's because I've had to edit out parts that have kids in a couple of scenes. Anyway, enjoy.

Two Mules for Sister Sara (1969)

5 Attachment(s)
This clip comes from the superb western Two Mules For Sister Sara from 1969, and includes a scene at the beginning that may appeal to fans of ENF where Clint Eastwood's cowboy first meets Shirley MacLaine, where she finds herself naked and with only a black dress to spare her modesty while three men attempt to tear it from her. Naturally, Clint being the gentleman he is, does not tolerate their behaviour and lets them know in his own way his feelings about the matter (ie, he shoots them).

It's quite a striking scene, and the cloth covering MacLaine is slightly see through too. What Clint doesn't realize until she puts her clothes on is that it's actually from a nun's habit, and she wants him to help her to blow up a French fort for Mexican rebels. However, when they finally get to the rebel hideout, Clint discovers all too startlingly that Shirley is not really a nun when she is greeted by one of the women there, who gives Shirley's bum a nice firm groping! Well, that's one way to find out, I suppose!

Landslide (1937)

4 Attachment(s)
This clip is from the dusty archives of 1937, from the UK film Landslide, which is notable for a very early appearance from Dinah Sheridan (Genevieve, The Railway Children, etc). However, it is the lady who features in this clip - Elizabeth Inglis - who may catch American viewers attentions, for she is none other than Sigourney Weaver's mum! She is some looker too, playing a slightly snooty actress in a radio play in Wales who gets stuck in a landslide with her co-stars. Her airs and graces hold little sway with the stage manager, who in this scene pats her bum to get her attention, much to her annoyance. For Inglis, (who had a small role in The 39 Steps) her biggest role was in The Letter in 1940 (now as Elizabeth Earl), before retiring from the screen in 1945. She did make an appearance in daughter Sigourney's film Aliens in 1986, before eventually passing away in 2007 at the age of 94.

Secretary Ass Pat Sketch

4 Attachment(s)
This video I came across on Youtube. It's a comedy sketch in a office, where a woman approaches her male colleague about an idea she's got, only for the chap to be utterly distracted by another woman's bum as she's bending over. The woman boss sees this, so she slaps the girl's ass, who turns round and slaps the bloke. Sadly, I have no idea what this clip is from, and the picture quality could be better, but it is a great sketch and a nice twist on who is doing the bum patting. The title is how I found it, and as I've no idea what this is from, it's as good a title as any. Enjoy.

Carry on Again Doctor (1969)

7 Attachment(s)
This is from Carry on Again Doctor from 1969, the poorest of the medical films they did, but does still include two bum patting scenes. Here Jim Dale's Dr Nookey (what else?) is sent to a tropical island after disgracing himself at a hospital party, where he meets local quack Sid James and his numerous native wives (who double up as nurses). Sid gets to grips with one of his nurses in the 1st bum patting scene as he comes out of his bedroom (the nurse I believe may be an actress called Heather Emmanuel). The 2nd bum slapping scene comes after Jim Dale's character has flown back to Blighty with a secret slimming formula concocted by Sid, who sees Dale's success in the papers and decides to fly over there. There he sees Hattie Jacques, bent over a desk in uniform, and cannot resist a good hearty slap of her backside. He's a brave lad, is our Sid.

Bless This House (1973)

3 Attachment(s)
Another one of Sid James, this time from Bless This House, the TV sitcom that ran from 1971 to 1976 until Sid's untimely death. He must of had a fun time filming, because he seems to of patted more women's bums than any other actor I know, and in this episode from the 3rd series (Episode called "Will the Real Sid Abbott Please Stand Up?") he plays the title character and that of a doppleganger who happens to be a womanizer. Indeed, in this video he IS the doppleganger who meets Sid's secretary (played by Charlotte Howard), who believes it is her work colleague and hooks up with him. I kept that scene in here, as she looks good in that dress. By the time of the 2nd scene in the video, she has been rebuffed by the real Sid Abbott, only to encounter the doppleganger in the pub, who playfully pats her bum a number of times to get her attention. Don't worry if you haven't kept track of what's going on, just watch the video clip and enjoy.

From Russia With Love (1963)

3 Attachment(s)
Now I know I posted this before, but I was able to get a better copy off the TV yesterday. This scene shows Sean Connery's Bond on a train with blonde bombshell Daniella Bianchi, a model turned actress who was dubbed for the film, posing as an English couple while hiding away from spies. When Bianchi shows reluctance to leave the carriage, Connery tells her "We are supposed to be a respectable English couple..." before saying "now just do as I say" and giving her an authoritative slap on the bum. Bianchi's reply, through gritted teeth, is "But there are some English customs that are going to be changed..." I think Bond picked the wrong woman to get friendly with here!

Crooks in Cloisters (1963)

5 Attachment(s)
The 2nd film I'm posting tonight is also one I uploaded previously, but like the previous video I have been able to find a better copy from the TV this week. It's from Crooks in Cloisters (also from 1963), a British comedy crime caper that sees Ronald Fraser, Bernard Cribbins and Barbara Windsor et al as a gang of crooks who end up hiding out in a monastery to avoid the police after a robbery. Normally it's our Babs who is on the end of a friendly pinch, but here it is one of the molls whose bum gets tweeked by Fraser as he hurries them out of the room to talk business. The actress sadly is unknown, but there is at least additional footage of her short but sweet appearance in the film, which I have included here. Enjoy.

If you want to find a film that involves a lady's bum being patted, best chance will be a Sid James film. This clip doesn't actually involve Sid, but it stars him (along with Arthur Askey) as a soap powder salesman who uses Askey's position in TV to try and promote his product on the BBC (a strict no no). In this scene, however, it shows life in a TV casting office, where an executive checks out a budding wannabe. "That's very nice, dear," he tells her. "Now leave your telephone number and call the next one in," before leading her to the door and giving her bum a number of pats to guide her out. Sadly, I don't know the name of the lovely actress on the receiving end of the patting, but the actor looks to of got his money's worth doing this!

Romany Jones (1972)

This clip is one I came across by chance on Youtube. It features Dad's Army star James Beck (Pt Walker) and the aptly named Jo Rowbottom as a layabout couple living in a caravan site. Playing on Jo's surname, this clip shows the opening credits where she comes out her caravan to bend down to attend to something, only for Beck to give her bum a cheeky pat. I've also included a nice intimate interplay between the two stars in one scene.

The series was created for Beck to branch out from Dad's Army, but he tragically died just after the 2nd series in 1973, aged just 44, and a promising career was cut short. For Jo Rowbottom, she made her debut in 1962, and apart from this series her best known role was as Calpurnia in the TV series I, Cladius in 1976. Her last screen role was in 1992.

Hallelujah! (1983)

This is from another UK TV sitcom called Hallelujah!, which ran from 1983-84 and starred Thora Hird and Patsy Rowlands as a couple of Salvation Army cadets trying to spread the word in a small northern town in Yorkshire. You wouldn't of thought this would be the likely sitcom to find bum pinching, but it has two such scenes within it's first 3 episodes! First is when the duo decide to enter a pub, only for Patsy to wonder why it's called "The Bird in Hand." It soon becomes obvious when they enter and see one of the locals pinch the barmaid's bum! "Now we know!" says Thora. The 2nd scene involves Patsy and an amnesiac (played by Brian Rawlinson), who Patsy comforts, only for him to put his hand on her bum. She removes it the first time, but when he puts it there a 2nd time and then corrects himself, she places his hand back on her bum. Now if only Thora hadn't walked in at that moment...

On the Fiddle (1961)

I usually upload on here on a Sunday, but circumstances mean I shall be taking a break from here for a while. So here is the next clip in what seems like an endless supply from film and TV of bum patting on screen. Never did I think when I first started this that I would have so much material in hand (so to speak).

Anyway, this clip is from the film On the Fiddle (1961), starring Alfred Lynch, but being more interesting for the fact that his dim witted buddy is a pre-Bond Sean Connery. Here they turn up to help out at a canteen kitchen run by Jack Smethurst and a young Patsy Rowlands (from Hallelujah!, above) in a very early screen appearance. And it is her who ends up having her bum slapped by Smethurst, as she sits on the table applying her lipstick. Patsy would later go on to find fame in the Carry On films and TV's Bless This House in the 1970's in a varied career. She died in 2005, just 3 days after her 74th birthday.

Dancing Lady (1933)

After 6 weeks away, here is a clip from the vintage era of Hollywood, involving no less than Joan Crawford and Clark Gable in the film Dancing Lady from 1933. In this scene Crawford is desperate to get into Clark Gable's dancing studios and will do almost anything to get picked. "So you like to dance?" says Gable. "More than anything else in the world" replies Crawford. "You wanna work with me? Then shake," says Gable (not as dubious as it sounds, although it's pre-Hayes code Hollywood). Then he sends her away with a firm slap of her backside that I just love and tells her to beat it. What's even more intriguing is that Joan actually thanks him for it and then departs, happy.

It's not the only clip I have of this film. You see, there is also a burlesque sequence at the beginning of the film that Joan is involved in before the police raid the theatre. This raid is what sees our Joan end up looking for work at Gable's dance studio. I have added the burlesque clip on the "Jean Parker in Two Alone" thread that I thought might suit all Hollywood pre-Hayes videos. The White Countess (2005)

This week's video is actually a find off the net, and is called The White Countess (2005). It stars Natasha Richardson as an exiled countess who ends up having to work in a seedy Shanghai bar to support her family. In this scene she is having to play host and dance with a sailor, who takes full opportunity to fix his hands on her bum for a good grope, while she can do little else other than take it on the chin and grin and bear it. For Natasha, she first came to fame in The Handmaid's Tale in 1990, where she appeared topless, while other nude roles include Patty Hearst (1988), The Comfort of Strangers (1991), Past Midnight (1992) and Asylum (2005). Sadly this was one of her last roles, as she died four years later in 2009, far too young at 45, after a skiing accident.
